We came here after matinee ballet. Good menu to select from. Tasty food, fast service at the table. Basic dipping sauces, or lack thereof, was the only slight disappointment.

Took my girlfriend here for her first dim dum experience and she liked it! She is a picky eater but the beef rice noodle (vermicelli) was exactly what the doctor ordered. Also the sticky rice is good. Don't expect much in ambiance. They put plastic wrap down as table cloth. It's a great idea for clean up but its definitely... More

Enjoyed a great Chinese lunch at this restaurant with all-day dim sum served in a cozy underground space. Such a variety of choices! The food was very good and relatively inexpensive.

Went there for lunch on the advice of a family member. Food was average although the service was excellent.

Maybe we just caught this place on a bad day, but our most recent lunchtime visit to New Treasure wasn’t nearly as good as many past experiences. Although some Dim Sum items we had, such as shrimp/scallop dumplings were okay, many others, such as spring rolls, were quite greasy and both of us ended up with indigestion, which we hadn’t... I have been coming to this restaurant since I was a teenager and I have always enjoyed the services and food! The location of the restaurant could at times post difficulties for new customers since it is situated below ground level and it is not wheelchair accessible. Most customers are regulars and the restaurant offers terrific value on the food... More

Mind you, we don't have dim sum too often but this was a little bit disappointing. The food was okay but the selection was rather limited. We ended up eating a lot of deep fried dishes that make us feel sluggish. Probably would go to a place with a more expansive menu next time. Price was right thought!

This should really be two reviews: dinner #1 that my wife and I enjoyed in October, and dinner #2 that I ate with my wife and 5 members of our extended family on a cold Sunday night in February. Dinner #1 was very pleasant and tasty, with abundant portions of our main courses. Dinner #2 was almost the opposite. The... More

There is a new girl running the retaurant and she does not have much in the way of business sence or personality. She does not seem to have a clue how to manage the carts when tyhe place gets busy.... More

Delicious authentic Chinese food and reasonable prices! Could be a bit fancier in décor however! It is located below ground level on Dundas Street besides the bus terminal.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
