Stayed at this hotel for business. Beautiful rooms, double the size of my flat in London! The bathroom was fantastic with a jacuzzi function... You can sit and enjoy this while looking out over the CN tower. Separate shower room and toilet and tv in the mirror! Amazingly comfortable bed. The great thing and what stands out the most about... I love trying new foods and i was on hunt to try something i have not yet to have . Looked at yelp and decided to travel solo by streetcar from long branch all the way to Parkdale area to try some Himalayan/Nepalese food. I choose Shangrila because i saw many delicious looking pictures of the foods on other sites.... More

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel in a delightful suite. Hotel is excellent with superb staff. Hotel lobby very buzzy and great for late night drinks with live music. Bar menu and room service menu a little limited other than that excellent.

Momo and Noddles were fantastic and if you want to try real Tibetan food and Hakka Indian Chinese food this is restaurant. It's worth to visit and no regret for spending.

We had an extended stay in Toronto recently and had several meals at the Shangrila. The food was always of a high quality and the staff very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Tibetan or Nepali food.

I tried chicken momo's and they were very average. Chicken was not tender and well cooked. For the price they charge it's not worth it!

The last time we were here in Toronto we saw a handful of Tibetan / Nepalese / Himalayan restaurants on queen street west of Parkdale. Hmmmmm never seen that before - to do list! Yelp'd it and Shangrila it was, we wanted to sit on the floor and eat! Having never tried this food before have to say it was... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
