A bit more traditional for those looking for a culinary experience in Toronto, this bakery that is tucked away on the PATH has some of the best meat pies in Toronto. People are probably not flocking to Toronto for meat pies, but for those in the mood they will find they same high standard that Torontonians demand out of their... More

Tucked away in the Distillery building its very small but with tables outside. Serves lovely croissants and sausage rolls which are all sausage with a thin layer of crisp pastry. Tea and coffee good. Plenty of choice and wonderful looking bread but no rolls

You know it's the year 2016, right Brick Street Bakery and people have food allergies (ie seafood and nut), correct? If you don't want patrons with this issue, please be a little bit more patient.

If you are trying to use a Gift Card from Brookfield Place to purchase anything at this place, do not bother. They DO NOT honour it notwithstanding the fact they are listed as participating merchant on the gift card. Tried twice, second time after having been assured by Brookfield that problem had been resolved with merchant and they should honour... More

I love so many foods at Brick Street Bakery so it's very hard to pick one favourite as I love both the savoury and the sweet. The Boxing Day sandwich is both sweet and savoury. It's real roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce on delicious bakery baked bread. This sandwich is very creative. It's a yummy hot sandwich!

I really wanted to like this place, the decor is right up my street and the menu looked really inviting. Sadly the experience was far from perfect. There is no guidance on how to order, two girls leaping between a serving hatch and the tills and you're not sure whether to order at the hatch or the tills, people are... More

I recently payed a trip to Brick Street Bakery in the Distillery District. What a fantastic little spot! With such a variety of tasty treats, there truly is something for everyone. The food was amazing and the staff were incredibly bubbly and helpful! Will definitely be back for more!!

My wife and I had lunch at the bakery during a visit to the Distillery District. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, soups, and cookies. Everything we had was very good. The service is a bit slow and the young women behind the counter were not very friendly, a rarity in Toronto.

I visited Brick Street Bakery on January 3rd for lunch. I ordered the "Boxing Day" sandwich, which was satisfying, but not spectacular by any means. The breads and cookies look delicious, and their list of hot and cold sandwiches is really impressive. The store is tiny but cozy, and the outdoor tables are perfect for people watching on a warm... I've visited their distillery district location twice, both times ordering their veggie sandwich and macrons. The sandwich was very flavorful and the pesto used in it is perfect. The first time I visited the place was empty and the service was great. Second time was during the Christmas market and the place was packed and it took us almost 40... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
