My family went to Parts and Labour the other evening for dinner in order to celebrate my son's birthday. It was my son's choice, and he and his grandfather have excellent noses when it comes to good food. They had come the previous week. The restaurant is located in the heart of Parkdale along Queen West just before it becomes... More

My boyfriend and I visited Parts and Labour on a Tuesday for their Fried Chicken Special (two can dine for $26). The fried chicken was delicious - absolutely recommend! It was crispy and well-seasoned. We also ordered the roasted cauliflower and it was great. I really liked the sunchoke chips on top. The portion sizes were respectable and we were... More

A friend of mine extolled the virtues of the restaurant so I agreed to take a Uber ride from downtown to see what the fuss was about. All I can say was I am glad I did. I had a mountainous burger with fried egg included along with a side of bacon. My friend ate several other options from the... More

I was really looking forward to dining here during Winterlicious. I had heard really good things about the P&L burger, which is consistently rated one of Toronto's best. My burger was cold and a little undercooked even though I asked for it medium. The cauliflower on the other hand was really good. They ran out of creme brûlée for dessert,... More

I asked where we could put our coats and the very kind bar tender took them for us. When we returned to get them a different bar tender was very rude and yelled at me saying I was privileged.

Parts and Labour is a tasty Canadian restaurant with food and drink that is good but not memorable (in the tiny sampling that I tried). I sat at the bar with my wife and our friend and I tried their shrub cocktail and their octopus dish, wanting to get a sampling of both their food and drink. The cocktail was... More

Great time! This restaurant is so cool, we had to go twice. The food is delicious. The Burger should be renamed the undefeated. The roasted hen is to die for. What about the cheetos mac n cheese? A real gem made in Toronto! You have to go! NOW!

If you're a Foodie, then this is a must try, Nestled in Parkdale, it's worth the trek for any tourist and/ or local to taste some Homegrown talent. Everything we tried was good, nice atmosphere- even tough the crowd is Hipster ;) & friendless service. I'll definitely be going back , it's great place to eat & take friends from... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
