Two couples with six 23-26 year Olds celebrating my birthday. Pre-book drinks were great. Martinis were well appreciated. Had two lanes beside each other. Food & Drink service was fast and good finger foods. Two lanes with 10 pairs shoes for 1.5 hours were a bit pricy @ $372 plus beverages. A great time was had by all. Would do... More

Our group of 25 had a wonderful time. I received tonnes of positive feedback from my colleagues and suggestions that we make it a regular thing! The service we received was very friendly, quick and competent, and the food met everyone's dietary needs and was delicious. We got our bowling shoes quickly and easily, and everyone had fun. It was... More

I have never seen or dealt with security so bad in all my years of going to clubs or bars in Toronto. I saw one security guard screaming profanities at a young girl outside (she didnt appear drunk or to be arguing back with him) and there was no security outside to stamp hands when I went for a cigarette.... AVOID!!! Had thee WORST BAR EXPERIENCE EVER last night. So, I'm waiting at the bar to get a pint. It's relatively busy, but I don't mind the wait. Have had one pint already, which I bought downstairs and I'm in no rush to get a second since they're pretty expensive pints ($9 a pint). Anyway, the wait is over and... More

I just went to this restaurant, the food was tasty, but the chicken santorini which is supposed to be an entree and priced as such is way too small and felt like a sample, I felt like I was put on a diet and the plate felt like it was just halfway, I had a soup and also the chicken... More

Went for drinks and snacks here with my daughter and was pleasantly surprised. Interesting aspect to have a bowling alley as part of the package. We went upstairs for a drink and some snacks. A decent selection of beer, but not enough craft beer selection. We had two appetizers, the spinach dip and the guacamole dip and both were quite... More

Where do you go with a party for 300 people for an hour, the ballroom! We held and event here with passed appetizers and drinks, and the place easily accommodate our audio and video, speaking and presentation needs. When is a sports bar the perfect place for an event, when it is the ballroom! Great food, and plenty of complements... More

This place is really relaxed and the people working the bowling desk were helpful and friendly. Bowling is free on Sundays for an hour after 5 pm and all you have to do is pay for the show rental (only $5.65 which is not bad at all!). What's nice about The Ballroom is that they don't pressure you to buy... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
