I've been to Burrito Bandidos before a couple years ago. My sister and I went today and I saw on of the guys turn a burrito that luckily wasn't mine with his hands, no gloves. I asked him to put on gloves on both hands before he touched mine. It's a restaurant, in this country there are health regulations and... More

Great ingredients, fresh toppings, and they know how to grill em right. It's worth the wait, or you can order ahead. The large order is actually massive. You can do curls with them on the way back to work. I'm also impressed with their ability to serve it at various levels of 'spice-heat' which includes wickedly hot ghost pepper sides.

About a block from the Courtyard hotel. Went in for lunch about 11:45, they were fixing a lot of items for call in orders. My burrito was completed quickly and accurately even though they were busy. I liked the medium spicy pork. Wheat tortilla was an option, but chose the regular soft instead.

The place in kind of seedy, but in a good way. Friendly staff, and the food is quite good. Substantial portions, and you really get your money's worth. A decent burrito joint in downtown T.O.

These guys make a mean burrito with great ingredients. Best of all, they warm it up so the cheese is nice and gooey, unlike the gross cold burritos at Chipotle. I would say that Burrito Bandidos and Burrito Boyz are the best in the city.

We stayed at the Courtyard hotel across the street and this was a quick walk to pick up our carryout order. They have online ordering on their website which is both easy and fast. As others have noted, the interior is sparse. This is a quick in-and-out joint. The food was tasty, the fillings voluminous, and the spicy sauce was... More

Focus is on take out (or eat and run) as interior is no frills with just tiny waiting area with a few stools. Price point isn't cheap but since the burritos are rather large, filling and loaded with good stuff the prices are fair. I've tried several flavours and enjoyed them all. All in all, its turned into a place... More

I found this restaurant using Urbanspoon and was impressed by the fact that 93% of the reviewers said they would go again. I was a little taken aback by the spartan interior, but favourably impressed by the price and quality of what I had. My small (and generously sized--I could not have eaten a large) spicy pulled pork burrito with... More

The burritos here especially the bean and cheese ones are very tasty, terrific and healthy. They also accept pick up orders on the phone. The decor inside is good and they have stories from The Onion pinned on the walls. The quesadillas are also very good though they aren't spicy at all. At the time of writing this review, the... I stopped by the Yonge St Burrito Bandidos. I had read some reviews that had said it was a great place to eat. I had a large halibut and large steak burrito. It is probably important to choose exactly which toppings you want. I found the 'everything' steak was not nearly as good as my selective choosings for my halibut... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
