I was there alone on a Friday night, and the restaurant was busy but not packed. I ordered a lot of different sushi items, including many items I have never tried before. I sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef closest to me was very nice. He gave me complimentary sushi items. I enjoyed the food very much,... More

Great ambience for intimate and small group celebrations. The quality of the food still lingers in my mind and palate. Great selection of sake. Great service.

Ate here during the Winterlicious promotion. The food was pretty enough but portion sizes varied somewhat, with just three slices of duck breast as an appetizer compared to a more substantive salad with sashimi and grapefruit (if I recall). Again the sushi plate was better and better value than a seared salmon which was overcooked to the point of mushy:... More

The highlight was most definitely the food, but I was pleased with all elements of the meal. My friend and I ordered nigiri and sushi (which are my usual go-to's when I eat at a sushi restaurant) and all of the rolls were delicious. The atmosphere was nice - significantly nicer than a typical take-out sushi place, but reasonably casual... More

The restaurant was packed for lunch so this is always a good sign. Overflow, including party I was with, needed to be seated in upper private dining space. Service was quick and the food was excellent. Delightfully plated and even better to eat. We started with seaweed salad, miso soup and then had several rolls and the sashimi plate shown... More

Yuzu No Hana is a really nice Japanese restaurant. I for whatever reason fully expected it to be loud and filled with trendy (read: annoying) people, but it was actually a fairly small, cozy and low key place, which I loved. Service was friendly and efficient. My wife and I ordered the Yuzu dinner (which, per the restaurant website, consists... More

Great, great restaurant! I first met Bruce Bo, YUZU's owner, about 10 years ago at his much smaller (also excellent) Japengo restaurant near City Hall. Since then, when in Toronto, I always try to enjoy at least one meal at Japengo, but almost always end up dining instead at his larger YUZU, located in Toronto's entertainment district, (which is closer... Great Fresh tasting Sushi. They didn't offer your traditional red dragon, green dragon type rolls however that's what I liked about it. They had different rolls that you won't find at the traditional sushi restaurants. Chiefs specials were great and would recommend. Only reason why I didn't give it a 5 was due to the slow service. I'm sure they... More

Good quality Sashimi - they also offer imported pieces directly from the famous Tokyo Tsukuji fish market. The price on the other hand is quite high - but you get what you paid for.

My husband and I are from Manhattan and came to Toronto for a getaway. We initially were going somewhere else but they were so busy so we saw Yuzu- it was great sushi. Definitely recommend the lobster roll. Service was a little slow at first but we overall thought it was a clean, good place.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
