I went a few times for drinks. Actually once was for a party and the other time was for drinks. Got pretty busy after ten and loud. Ended up leaving at that time.

My nephew organize the diner reception for his wedding here for 60 guests. The organization and the service went very smooth and the foods are excellents. We appreciate very much the Berber North African Fine Menu Set and I can guarantee it's 100% authentic (I travelled around Morocco and The Mediterranée). The Desserts are beautiful and excellents too

I work right by Berber Lounge and was always curious to try it so when my friend booked a going-away party there + learned they had a Summerlicious menu, I thought what a perfect opportunity. First I'll start with the good stuff: The atmosphere and wait staff were attentive although it took a while for them to take our order.... More

A group of us went for the Winterlicious menu, as we heard this place was affiliate with Sultans Tent and Cafe Moroc upstairs (both which are delicious!). The staff were friendly and attentive, and the decor was beautiful, yet very dark. The place was not full, with mostly empty tables, yet they seated us right next to the only other... More

Went for winterlicious, it seems like they only opened this section (downstairs/Berber) for winterlicious customers. There was probably only 5 tables in the whole place being used. Service was okay, until the bill came and they could not explain some charges. Drinks were good, food was poor, had the salmon it was very small with a huge pile of coucos... More

I have been to all three of the restaurants in this complex, and I LOVE the bar downstairs. It's the real gem in this trifecta. The Berber Lounge, as in the front of the Sultan's tent (the bar area) is really cozy and dark. The dips, the orange blossom tea and the mussels are a must. I am a Torontonian... More

Don't waste your time and money on this poor excuse for a restaurant, overpriced, tiny portions and rude management. When the main couse came we all broke out into laughter because we thought it was a joke, but quickly realized that this was it, two bites and gone, not enough for a four year old let alone an adult. When... More

Here is why I am always spectical of trying new resturants...we went to the Berber for New Years Eve, had the five course meal. We waited at least 45 minutes before our first dish came out. The dirty plates sat our table for awhile, we had to ask our server to take them away. Finally it was time for desert,... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
