This restaurant is fabulous... great food, open fired roasted chicken, nice wait staff. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We went to Churrasco Villa without knowing this place was an institution. Loved the food and especially the piri-piri chicken. I highly recommend if you want a chicken night and the price is reasonnable.

It has been many years that Churrasco Villa was the local destination for my family and friends. Now that the children have moved away I thought to return and embrace those memories and enjoy what I had expected would be a wonderful meal and experience. It was neither. While I should have said something during the meal I waited until... More

And extremely consistent, i've been eating there for many many years, I highly recommend this Resturant for take out or dine in. If you dine in the food is more moist and does not get tried out. There sauce on the side is an oil base mixed with cheese it's out of this world and the hot version is the... More

The waiter was robotic - he seemed to have his list of things to say and rather rushed us into ordering. Our orders arrived and they were wrong. We did get the piece of chicken that we ordered but all the sides were wrong. When he came back to check on us, I had a mouthful of the chicken and... More

I was recently on an overnight trip to Toronto and popped into this delightful restaurant for an early supper. I had the quarter chicken dinner done Portuguese BBQ style with great roasted potatoes and house salad. The waiter was very attentive and friendly.

The chicken is perfect. It's just slightly coated with spices and stuff. There is no fat coming from it like some grilled chicken and the char grill gives it such an amazing taste. The roasted potatoes are also amazing. Do come with a reservation though or you will have to wait for an hour.

My wife Jill and I have a relatively restricted eating style (basically no dairy, no grains and no sugar and no red meat), which has made us feel so wonderful!. We went to Toronto last week to visit my daughter who had recommended this wonderful Portuguese restaurant. We are pleased with how Churrasco fit into our eating style. We were... More

Wow great food. First time here and we enjoyed all the wonderful BBQ. My wife had traditional chicken, I had the beef ribs. Sides are OK, you would come for the meat. Sauce was good too. Friendly but reserved would be my description of the service which is fine by me. Best test is I would go again.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
