There was a line up when I got there around 10:30am, I assumed there would be one based on other reviews I read. I waited for about 40 mins in line and it was well worth the wait- their menu focus is on local organic as much as possible and their eggs are free range. I tried the porridge with... More

Except a wait unless you get there right when they open at 8am, weekends it could be 45-60mins for a table weekdays usually about 10-15mins. If you can go Durning the week. Interesting breakfast options served all day as well as lunch items. Very tasty and they use fresh local sustainable ingredients. Good options for vegans and gluten free. Food... More

They're taking over and now they have a breakfast joint - Lady Marmalade. The ambiance is eclectic, the staff relaxed and friendly, the food familiar comfort dishes with some modern twists. I had the Croque Monsieur Crepe, which was great - lots of ham and lovely sauce without being over-heavy, plus a spinach garnish. Lots of benny variations too and... More

Went there for breakfast. Had the benny with bacon and mango salad as well as the poutine. The egg benny was good, but the poutine was..disappointing. The description said "hash".... It was not hash, they used the same potatoes for the bennies and put cheese and sauce on it... I found the dishes carb centric and no fruits at all....... More

I had the Huevos Rancheritos which was so so good. I will get it again. It consisted of 3 poached eggs covered in a tomato/salsa type of sauce, black beans, guacamole and a warm tortilla. So delish. Great flavours. I liked the athmopshere and the decor as well. Service was great as well. Good value.

I came on a Tuesday morning, around 9am, there were plenty of free tables. It did fill up as we ate, and by the time we left at 10.15, the queue was out the door, so yes, it gets busy. But there's a good reason for that, the food is excellent. I had a delicious Huevos Migas, it was superb.... More

Lady Marmelade were a very nice to be back in North America. Very colorful and peaceful place with nice fresh juice (beets apple and ginger) and breakfast menu. I got a very nice boiled eggs with bacon and a great salad. The bread were awesome and apparently the eggs with pulled pork with hollandaise sauce were awesome ! Long line... More

Maybe I heard too much good thing about this place so I went in with high expectation. I ordered egg Benny, the eggs were cooked nicely, I just wish the presentation could be less messy(the picture was taken after I fixed it up a bit). Overall the dining experience was nothing to write home about. The rundown interior and cheap... More

This place has a unique and modern breakfast menu. They specialize in bennies for those who fancy. The furniture was vintage with character and service made me feel I was part of the community. If you want to stray away from standard breakfast franchises like Eggsmart and Sunset Grill, this is the place for you.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
