If women breasts are main reason to go to a restaurant then Jack Astors is the place for you. Middling food. Attentive service and good tv screens to watch the game

My friend and I hadn't been here since the renovation, and although it's nice to look at, thats where it ends. The menu seems much smaller and prices are definitely much higher. $15 for chicken fingers seems a little much for something so average. Our server was attentive until we placed our order, and after that we never saw her... More

At Jack's we always strive to deliver the very best dining experience, and I'm so sorry our service was not on point during your visit. We take our food very seriously and use fresh ingredients to make the majority of our meals entirely in-house. Our chicken fingers... More

I used to love this location. Went for a girls night & was shocked at the quality of the food/drinks/service. I had some poutine concoction that could only be described as a mess on a plate, my sangria had so little alcohol in it I asked if they had mistakenly brought me juice, my appetizer of calamari so sparce I... We were there mid-afternoon so fairly quiet, just for beer and snacks. Good choice of craft beers by flight, pint or pitcher.

This place used to be nice to go to, but has declined over the years. The music is played so loud, you can not have a conversation. The food is just mediocre now. I think of it as more or less a bar with food for 20 yr olds. Will never go back

Hi Marcie G, I'd like to reach out and thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you don't enjoy our newest take on Jack Astor's. As always, we like like to keep the tunes rocking, however our recent renovation has also introduced a larger craft beer program and the ability to bake our bread in-house. Our burgers and... More

Service was excellent especially for a sports bar. Food was good, not great but solidly good. This is the place to catch a game with lots of TV's and one giant one behind the bar. Good social environment and we liked the place. Also had a patio to enjoy the outdoors if you want.

Stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner. Was told it was a 30-minute wait but it ended up being less than 10-minutes because we were only two people. Typical Jack Astor's with lots of noise and a good mix to the crowd. Our waitress, Erin, was very friendly and accommodating. I had the Buddha slaw with tuna instead of... More

Have been to other Jack Astors before, the portions are much smaller at this location than remembered. Possibly better if you pick other items, but the shrimp tacos had one shrimp in each taco. Even the beef taco had minimal meat. Lobster and crab dip was mostly mayo and little to no crab or lobster. Staff was friendly.

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
