It has been more than 5 years ago that I attended here for dinner, in August of 2010. I happened to come across my receipt which pricked my memory and I was surprised at how much I do remember well. Cuisine: Japanese gourmet food, the haute cuisine of Japan. No. of guests: 4 This was a special occasion celebrating the... More

Wonderful and personal reception and attention from this family owned jewel. Presentation and taste were hightened the culinary experience, the variety of dishes was very interesteing. I very much enjoyed the traditional tea ceremony at the end as well.

Went to Kaiseki Yu Zen Hashimoto on a Saturday night. Amazing experience. Have been to Japan three times and must say this restaurant took me back to Japan. Excellent ambience, service and food. Most ingredients are imported from Japan. Nice sake list. Felt pampered all the way. I am pregnant and the chef made some dishes for me that weren't... More

A wonderful, memorable dining experience providing beautiful, fresh, Japanese food in a terrific zen-like environment. Perfect for special occasions. Not cheap, but still good value, and something you'll always remember (likely because you'll photograph every dish)

Small, family-run and very special. We arrived on an icy night - they met us at the door. We were shown to a private 'room' and the service was intensely attentive. Each course of that night's menu was not just art, but an amazing taste experience. Major emphasis on Japanese fish with unique flavors. A range of sake choices, we... More

This was an unique experience for a novice in Japanese cuisine. The ingredients were imported and special , The taste and presentation showed effort but not outstanding. The Hashimoto family mom an pop husband and wife were all very friendly. But it was probably a bit too pricey but we expected it. A different experience in Canada but probably not... More

My husband and I felt as welcome by the Hashimoto family as though we were being received in their home. Son Kei and his beautiful wife were hosts during our dinner experience, which was a series of delicate art dishes that tasted as delicious as they were beautiful. We were recommended a diaginjo sake with our meal - it was... More

It's original Mississauga location was proof that you should never judge a book by it's cover. Nestled in an industrial area it was a magical surprise to walk into an intimate setting and industry leading service. Each course was timed to perfection, gently placed in front and delicately explained origins as chef's menu was introduced. This family own establishment takes... More

Best Japanese restaurant in all of the GTA imho. The food is delicate and absolute perfection. The 8 course tasting was a culinary learning experience I'll never forget. I look forward to returning and exploring more of this fantastic menu.

Seeing that we were scheduled to fly from Toronto Pearson Intl. Airport early one morning, we decided to stay in an airport hotel the night before, and then visited kaiseki yuzen Hashimoto for a wonderful dinner as our entertainment that evening, so-to-speak. The location is really odd, in a nondescript strip mall, but, as mentioned above it’s convenient to visit... More
