Passing through before an event, very interesting place and very busy. Not at all a fan of the hyper sexualized attire for women, low cut skin tight shirts tied up baring midriff for women. Seems to want to attract a certain crowd, and thats not women. Too bad, otherwise great beer selection and nice place.

I took a friend to lunch at Loose Moose today around 12:30pm. It wasn't too busy and our server was friendly. My friend and I ordered the same meal - fish tacos. The slaw that goes with this meal is really tasty. That's about it for the good stuff for this review. Read on... I was enjoying the meal until... More

While in Toronto our first night we went to The Loose Moose for dinner. First we ordered only the Curry Shrimp Rice Bowl, see photo, awesome!!!, very very good. We were hungry and the bowl was not enough so we ordered the Who Are You Callin' Shrimp lettuce wraps, see photo with my beautiful wife, unfortunately fried, should of gotten... More

Very popular eatery with good beer selection. If its an event night get there early or go after your event for a pint and a meal. Apps are crazy. We were in town to catch Brit Pink Floyd concert and decided to have a few pints and a bite pre show. They have this LOG of all kinds of fries... More

Stopped here twice in four days in Toronto, as it was close to our hotel, and open late. Great beer selection, and pretty good bar food. Lots of tv's to watch sports. Service is decent; they get a little busy sometimes and things take a few extra minutes.

Went there with a friend before a concert. We both had a tex mex burger, not sure what the actual name was, it was really good, well except for the tortilla chips on top, not sure what that was about lol. We had a cider sangria which was nice and some Fruli beer - delish. I would definitely go back,... More

We had reservations after visiting the Aquarium and had a wonderful visit. We decided to share meals with the kids and it worked out perfectly - loved the Shareable platters. The nachos were great. I'd only suggest real cheese instead of processed for the mini-hot dogs. The Leafs were playing so there was a great energy in the restaurant!

We saw this place on our way to our hotel from Union Station and had to try it. The place is comfortable although rather worn inside. My bench seat was all ripped open and tapped shut. Our server was great. The good was okay, but in a city of so many food destinations, it wasn't anything exceptional. Overall, this was... More

As good as the food and selection of beer was the service was the opposite. Never the same person at the table. Hard to get anyone's attention! Waited 20 min for the bill. Needless to say zero tip!

Welcome to the new Loose Moose, featuring a brand new menu and the largest draught beer selection in downtown Toronto. Since pouring our first pint in 1989, a lot has changed at The Loose Moose. And yet, so much has remained the same. Our space is different, but our address isn’t. Our business has grown, but we’re still independent. And now, even with the most draught beers downtown, we’re no beer snobs. Never have been. Never will be. After all, staying true to yourself is how you make new friends - and keep old ones. Anyone who’s stopped by The Loose Moose to unwind after work, watch the game or make a night of it will tell you the same.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
