Pizza is so dry. Terrible pizza. I've been here a few times and ate different types of pizza and finally I gave up.. not sure how the other foods on the menu are but I'll pass.

I ordered a cheese pasta lunch through an online app that Amato is registered with. Instead of my lunch being ready in 10-15 minutes as stated, on my way to the restaurant I get a text that it will be 30 minutes. (Strike one.) Fine, I guess I can forfeit a couple a minutes more over my lunch (good thing... More

Not good pizza. It was dry and just bad. I wouldn't order from them again. If they put more effort into making their food that would be great.

Ordered from Amato's while staying at the Renaissance in Toronto watching a ball game. Free delivery. Hotel had a menu...just ask the concierge for a copy. Pizza was "OK"...have had better. Wings were pretty good though if you like your wings well cooked which we do. Prices were average.

We order from Amato Pizza for lunch celebrations at work. All the pizza is good...but the Potato Alla Cream Pizza is AMAZING! Who knew potato pizza could blow every other pizza out of the water. Get this pizza. It will blow your mind!

Consistently good pizza. In particular the Spinachi pizza with spinach, roasted red pepper, pesto and feta. Its decadent. The slice is huge, its 1/4 of an XL pie.

The best part about this place is the variety of slices you can get. That's the beauty of it. Is there a lot of flavour going on there? For me there wasn't. But all I have ever purchased there were the slices. I have a feeling it would be tastier if ordering an entire pizza! Been back twice so can't... More

Purchased a Groupon for this restaurant, $15 for large pizza. Although the owner was pleasant his product is terrible. I hate to write a bad review for a restaurant knowing how hard it is to make it. But in all honesty I feel badly for the other 400 people who purchased this Groupon. You can look forward to pizza that... More

I travel often and always try to sample the local pie. I ordered a pie at 4:59 and it was delivered from a location less than a mile away at 6:50. I was literally walking out the door to go get something to eat when the pizza showed up. the delivery man was apologetic and the pie was hot and... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
