Deliciousness is all I can say .. I could eat their tiropita ( cheese pie) everyday . Each time I visit Danforth I take home a box of tiropita and bougatsa to enjoy. This bakery has been around forever it is just outstanding.Try it .

This is my all time favourite place for desert. The menu is short and the focus is on quality. I've been visiting for over 25 years and it's always consistently excellent. Service is efficient and friendly. 5 Star Recommendation!

My husband is Greek. The next best thing to homemade Greek Locomathis comes from Athens Bakery. They are extremely fresh and delicious. The price is amazing . I highly recommend this bakery if you are looking for authentic Greek pastries.

perfect spanakopita. They have others but I just love this one so I don't stray. The greek coffee is done decently well and the loukamades (fried dough in honey) make your mouth water. I only gave 4 because the staff is usually young and changes a lot. No real complaints but it just never feels like they care if you... More

I keep coming back to Athens pastry after seeing all the rave reviews, but am somewhat disappointed each time. I've now tried the spinach spiral, cheese spiral, loukoumades, and galactoboureko, and find them all to be average tasting. I find for the spirals that there is too much pastry and not enough filling, and it can be a bit pricey... More

I don't get the Tim Horton's right next to Athens Pastry which is also a coffee shop. The way it's located you can't help but walk into Tim's first since Athens's doorway is a little off to the side. Well, Tim's ran out of ice coffee. Walked over to Athens and I'm glad Tim's didn't have any because this was... More

If you are looking for an amazing vegan dessert then loukamades is a must try. They are small timbit looking balls lathered in Greek honey. They are amazing!

We have been there before but this time service as well as pastry was so much better. Portions are big enough and value for money very good.

I have lived in the neighbourhood for 25 years, and this place is AMAZING. I am here to eat in or take out easily twice a week. In addition to cheese or cheese and spinach pies, there are the BEST loukoumades anywhere. They also have great coffees and other drinks. Cash only. If you have never been here you are... More

Love going here for breakfast. Always enjoy the coffee and the spanakopita. Not the cheapest but you get your money's worth. The service can be a little friendlier.

Staying in East End

Neighbourhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
