Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped here on our way to SSM & ordered 4 flavors of ice cream. All our scoops had an icy & gritty texture like the buckets had been frozen, melted & reserved. As the 7 yr old said, this tastes like sand & tossed...it - A cute parlor with lots of selection yet not our favorite spot thus far -More

This place is run by Lock City Dairy and is a very popular spot on hot evenings when there may be long line-ups. But that just gives you more time to decide on your choice of their amazing selection of flavours

My husband was looking for an ice cream shop and happened to find this on TripAdvisor. Kind of an out of the way place but worth finding. I ordered one scoop of salted caramel truffle in a waffle cone. It was HUGE! Wasn't inexpensive but...certainly got your money's worth.More

What a tasty ice cream, nearly same quality with Baskin Robin Ice cream. So many varieties of ice cream which definitely make you hard to choose. All are so mouth watering

I had the dairy-free strawberry & it’s a new fav. When we come to the soo, this is a must stop for ice cream. Moose Tracks is usually my go to, but, the staff was all to happy to recommend some of their favs &...did so with a friendly attitude.More

Love the cows out front. We had gone to Agawa Canyon for the day and were quite happy to be able to have time for ice cream when we got back. The service here was very good and we were able to sample a few...flavours before picking. We had hoped for homemade flavours of their own but they use there milk and a few other companies flavours - I believe Kawartha and Chapmans. Either way is was a good treat!More

The store wasn't busy when we arrived, there as a large selection of flavours to choose from. One draw back is that there were not tables inside to sit at to enjoy the icecream. You had to either sit in your vehicle or at one...of the picnic tables out in the sun. The staff were friendly and efficient.More

You can find any flavor in ice cream. Have a sundae, a cone or waffle cone. Eat at a table in restaurant, a picnic table outside, or even in your car.

When you visit Holy Cow Ice Cream parlour, the first thing you notice is the amazing roadside attraction sculpture of 3 cows. This sculpture was a little 'scandalous' when it was first installed, but has now become such a huge tourist attraction, that it is...a beloved icon of Sault Ste Marie, After you have posed with the cows for all of your fun photos to share on social media, go inside, and enjoy some amazing ice cream. The decor is very iconic retro ice cream parlour - clean, bright, colourful, and decorated with all kinds of Cow memorabilia (creamers, etc) There are many amazing flavours, including some very 'Canadian' flavours like Nanaimo bar. Indulge your cravings, and get a double scoop in a waffle cone - and enjoy. The portions are huge - even the small was a 'double scoop'. Medium was so big, even I (who never refuses ice cream), couldn't finish it all - I gave it a really good try. Prices are very good - considering the quality, sizes, flavour options etc - I was shocked at how reasonable the price was for 2 mediums and 1 Small. Plan to be there at a time when you will want ice cream, and when you are definitely hungry enough for a huge portion of dessert. It is a great roadside attraction, and even better ice cream.More

Good selection of hard ice creams but a smaller selection of mix-ins (an option for soft-serve). For seating there was one three-person bench inside, three benches outside. There was only one staff person there when we arrived and she was having trouble keeping up but...a second staff person returned from a supply run within 15 minutes.More
