Thursday afternoon after 4pm oysters and sparkling white or a kir royale I could be at my local brasserie in Paris but I am in Paris, as Verushka said in Blow-Up and get to hang out with my friends after sauntering down Water Street. Rollie and Shannon are the publicans who understand the welcome and the discretion of hospitality. A... More

A neighbour and friend introduced us to this very European bar in downtown Peterborough. Some good french wines, (and others) and we had the mussels and croquettes. We sat at the bar, although there are some small tables in this intimate restaurant, talked to the owner and the bartender and it almost felt like Paris. Nice little find.

wonderful charcuterie plate - salmon and a cheese selection. A very nice red wine - sorry I forget the type it was, just that it was from Portugal. I like that you can get 1/2 a glass - that was actually perfect. Staff very friendly and down to earth. Very authentic feel - French style - so happy this is... More

I know this isn't a typical review but I have to say this is the second time we have had the pleasure of having the company Christmas party here. Couldn't be more pleased, the food they prepare is outstanding and the drinks are well done. The servers are lovely people. Hope to return this year.

So true to its name... Super small. But really big on vibe. Great atmosphere, good food, nice drinks and friendly attentive staff. Totally recommend this place for a drink and snack.

This is a lovely, tiny-ish bar with an intimate feel, a great wine selection, some local beers and the most delicious cheese and charcuterie boards. Service is always prompt and friendly. The music can be a little miss-matched with the atmosphere (perhaps a little too trance-like for the classic looking French themed bar) and a little too loud at times... More

The service is prompt, professional, and friendly without being overbearing. The (small) menu is diverse enough to satisfy vegetarians and meat-eaters. The mushroom puff pastry is particularly heavenly; the potato cheese croquettes, and gravlax are also excellent. The cheese and wine selections include local offerings, keeping things sustainable. The only drawback is the bar really is 'petit' so arrive early!

Shannon's place is fantastic. It was after a trip to Paris that I fully realized how "authentic" the place is. That sounds pretentious. But the bar is not. It's fantastic.

Thank you for taking time to write this review. I'm so pleased to hear you call our bar "authentic" - we're trying very hard to create a real Parisian experience - cozy, lively and delicious. It's lovely to hear that you think we've hit the mark. Thanks, again. More

This is the finest overall 'port in the storm' that Ptbo has to offer. Atmosphere is refined and elegant without being pretentious. Music always great, even eclectic. Service is friendly and attentive. Food is always high quality and the charcuterie boards are a fabulous way to enjoy a meal, and an even better way to share one. A small charcuterie... More
