Everything is usually great but on our last visit we felt quite rushed with the check delivered quite quickly and then the credit card machine. It is mostly a clientele of people who work so maybe the whole restaurant is painted with the same brush....eat...More

I apologize if you felt rushed, it's certainly not any kind of policy, we stay open all afternoon so there's never a rush to leave.. Terry

Meal was good, although crab/shrimp cakes were served barely warm with a soft exterior. The owner kindly offered a 'free' dessert as a result. We had the seafood pasta and the Middle Eastern hash. Biggest surprise was the lack of French cuisine on the menu,...More

While I appreciate your critique, we are not simply a 'french bistro' we are a french bistro with a Newfoundland accent', our crab/shrimp cakes are pan-fried & we're terribly sorry you didn't enjoy them, it's not a middle eastern hash, it's a vegetarian hash (Seitan...More

The motto of this restaurant is perfectly descriptive of the cuisine, although it could just as easily be "A Newfoundland Bistro with a French Accent". The menu offers both French and Newfoundland fare, often together, and if our mussels and fish and chips are any...More

Description
Petit Bill’s was borne from the family values and sense of everyday “down-home” hospitality our mom & dad showed to anyone who came their way. Our house was THE place where all our friends gathered, be it for Sunday night dinner, Christmas Eve or just a place to be comfortable and safe. As teenagers, the whole family flourished under the watchful eye and guidance from our parents and the acceptance our parents gave to our friends and visa versa. Today, Petit Bill’s is a homage to this wonderful trait. We are proud to offer great comfort food, succulent steaks & fresh fish and truly homemade desserts. We use only the finest ingredients available and utilize as much local produce and products possible. We have won numerous awards for our wine list with the crown jewel being the VQA Award of Excellence in 2009 for showcasing Ontario & VQA Wines on our lists. It is this type of commitment to local that will continue to on all of our menus. We hope you will come by and see us again soon…to paraphase our folks… “Welcome to Petit Bill’s & welcome home!”
