Visiting Ottawa from T.O....looking for a fine place to eat while walking the freezing cold streets of the capital one mid day in January. Suddenly I spotted FESTIVAL JAPANESE - Fine Japanese Cuisine . I ordered a bento chicken teriyaki lunch-BOX. I was so disappointed. The food brought to me was poor and badly cooked. It was slapped together without... More

I've visited this restaurant on several occasions and I have to say that the food is pretty good but they really have to do something about the service. This latest visit was just unacceptable. Our drink order took almost half an hour and our meals even longer. The waitress was alone and seemed completely overwhelmed. Clients were so frustrated they... More

We walked in on a Wednesday night at 6pm and where the only two in a rather large restaurant. The venue was very clean, but it seemed a little dated. The food arrived all at once, which is a little unusual for a Japanese Sushi restaurant... they usually bring it out as it's made. The warm saki was served also... More

My husband and I were seated at around 12:35pm. The table had no cutlery on it. The server came to ask us what we'd like to drink at around 12:42pm. She came back, gave us some tea, and took our order at around 12:50pm and then never showed up again. I made eye contact with another server several times but... More

Went in for a quick lunch with a friend. We both chose a Bento Box each (Approx $20 each). The Bento Box had a salad, 3 spring rolls, rice, shrimp tempura (and veggies), a selection of Sushi. I wondered about the sushi selection because it said sushi and rolls. I was very pleasantly surprised. They actually had a selection of... More

This place has great set up, good food and excellent service. We were celebrating friend’s birth day on Saturday evening and we really had a great time. My wife had Shrimp Tempura Udon and I had Chicken Teriyaki. We both enjoyed our food and great Sapporo beer. We were lucky to have a personal attention from restaurant owner beautiful Samantha... This restaurant has wonderful setup. It has regular tables and Japanese-like dining (booths). The service is outstanding.

Had dinner here two nights in a row, one with a party of 7 and one by myself. First night was live music - good fun. The service was excellent and I found the sushi to good portions and good quality. We had an excellent first night. Second night, everyone was tired but I wanted to try some more items... More

My partner and I went for a meal here and had a lovely evening. The restaurant is beautifully presented, the staff attentive but not overbearing. We shared a starter, parter had the chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura combo, I had the red snapper - both delicious and filling. I had 2 beers, she had 2 glasses of wine and the... More
