THIS pub brews its own beers and has an attractive menu. fish and chips was good. the nachos were awesome and huge and the tourtiere was OK but not large. the outside is better in the summer as it is fairly isolated and quiet. they...More

When arriving at the pub we noticed the two patios were only about half full. However the host told the couple in front of us that there was a 15 minute wait for a table outside. The lady asked why as there were a number...More

Here for lunch in July. I had the smoked duck served on top of salad. It was the perfect lunch - LOTS of lovely tasting duck breast, plenty of greens and feta, but not much asparagus. Still ... it was really good and I will...More

I've been a frequent customer here since it opened several years ago. Overall, the food is average and nothing special. I usually get the chicken flatbread, which is ok. The beer is the one bright spot on the menu. The service needs improvement in two...More

The beer was so so, the food was poor. The fries used to be terrific, crispy and tasty. Done in the old Quebec style, being blanched first, then deep fried. Now they're straight out of the freezer. Yuck. The fish tacos were soggy. Service was...More

When a large corporate brewery takes over a restaurant chain and brew pub ... You get poor quality food and corporate boring beer. I ordered ribs that were so over cooked that they were hard to eat. When I talked to the waiter about my...More

Mill Street took on the vibrant Ottawa craft beer scene in 2002, choosing a 140 year old historic gristmill to bring a brewpub to the capital. Get both a historic and craft beer experience with breathtaking seats overlooking the Riviere des Outaouais, an unbeatable patio and beers brewed on site, exclusive to Ottawa Brewpub visitors. About Mill Street Brewery: With an earth-friendly philosophy in mind, Original Organic Lager was the first beer we ever made, and the first ever organic beer brewed in Canada. Soon after we impressed curious craft drinkers with Tankhouse Ale, a uniquely flavour-forward brew for its time. In 2006, we exceeded the capacity of our modest brewhouse and made the decision to expand the brewery, converting the original brewery space into a brewpub. 2012 saw us take on Ottawa's vibrant craft beer scene, opening a second brewpub in a historic old gristmill on the banks of the Ottawa River. We certainly never lost our dedication to our craft and passion for pushing the envelope. Our ever-expanding portfolio now includes over 60 unique beers earning us well over 100 awards, including 3-time Canadian Brewery of the Year. That's our story up till now. Who knows where our "Great Beer" adventure will take us next?
