Hillebrand Winery Restaurant celebrates the relationship between our land, our people, our wines and our food. Chef Frank Dodd showcases locally inspired cuisine made with ingredients from the bounty of Niagara Wine Country, and Winemaker Craig McDonald pairs them with wines made from grapes that grow in the same soil. Extend your stay in Wine Country, and allow us to arrange a private tasting in our Collector's Boutique or another Winery Experience prior to your meal.
I was completely impressed with the creativity of this kitchen. In my wildest imagination I would never have attempted the combinations and they all worked. I will be making many more stops here in the future.
Due to Covid have not made it down to Niagara on the Lake for over a year. Came back to Trius for lunch and had the two course fixed price of $60. Our waiter McKenzie was pleasant and very knowledgeable on both the menu items...and wine offerings. Had chicken and rib eye entrees and were happy with presentation and flavours. Dessert was ice tart and a pumpkin brownie. Both were worth ordering again. They were harvesting the grape vines right before our eyes so that was a bonus. Dined several times a Trius Restaurant and always leave happy.More
Big disappointment. I'll say that the main courses, steak and salmon, were fine. But nothing else was as described online. The Gretzky amber ale had been out of stock for a week. The elaborate appetizer was all carrot and a thimble of other tiny things....Dessert not as described. Chef's complimentary item never offered. Chatty unprofessional waiter.More
We were a group of 4 couples supporting local tourism at Niagara Falls. Our dinner at Trius was wonderful. The restaurant had beautiful and modern decor. The staff was attentive yet not excessive.
The 3 course menu provided a good variety of meats and vegetables....The appetizers offered a range of texture and were beautifully garnished. The husband’s rib eye was cooked to perfection. My chicken breast was moist and cooked just right. The pear tart was to die for.
We had one flight of white wine and it’s went well with the dishes. The menu also included two snacks which were very tasty.
We had a great time and my friends were all raving about the food, service and decor after dinner. We didn’t think we could find a restaurant of similar value in Toronto.
Thanks for giving us a superb dining experience. We’ll be back.More
We attended a very small family wedding at Trius., in a beautiful outdoor area. The food was Amazing from the very first course to the very last, accompanied by great wine paring and great discreet and professional service.
Came here with my partner and some family members, as part of a day trip to the Niagara Falls region. Made reservations over the phone, was happy to get a time slot (it was quite booked) and to get one on the outdoor terrace --...a good thing as it was during the pandemic. When we arrived, the hostess did a bit of a COVID check-in procedure, it didn't feel invasive, and we were seated right away at a table with a nice view of the vineyards.
Food was quite good; small portions, but that's to be expected. They had a children's menu option as well (chicken fingers); we adults tried the 2- and 3-course option. We had the zaatar-roasted carrots, broccolini, and tomato collection -- all good. For the mains, we tried the chicken, and salmon, paired with the Trius rose wine. For the third course, we shared the cheese plate. All pretty tasty, well-presented, and the service was good. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this region.More
All the years of going to NOTL, this was the first time we have had dinner at the Winery and it was superb. There were 4 of us for dinner and each of us was impressed with our dinner, cooked to perfection. Not only was...our dinner great, our server was amazing. She was attentive, funny and helped us with our questions. Of course the dinner is pricey however well worth it. It was definitely a evening to remember! Hats off to the chef and servers during this very trying time! Thank youMore
The best meal of our week long vacation. This was a surprise hit, great location and awesome food if you appreciate smaller portions with lots of fresh flavours and a gourmet experience. The salmon entree was sushi style and delicious. The chicken and lentil dishes...were also great and the chocolate dessert amazing!More
