The baked goods are pricey but very good. Try the freshly baked cheese bread, butter tarts, cookies and honey and salt pie (decadent)...or try anything else! It's worth a visit when you want a special treat.

Arrived just after 10 on a Saturday morning. Lined up to the door, was more than happy to wait Andrey to narrow down the decision making. Service was fantastic and treats all live up to the hype!

I love a good decaf Americano. The bummer here is they don't serve decaf :-(. Upside is there loaves are great. They have a walnut, apple and other ingredient loaf that is incredible. And loaves are typically nothing to get excited about. Made in house and notably fresh. Quiche is a wee greasy for me. Personal opinion. The salted caramels... More

I like the one at the market better. I went all the way down to Dundurn last Friday and asked if they had any sandwiches at about 2 pm and they said no they don't have any left pretty rudely as if I was an idiot. How am I supposed to know that if I've never been there before? I... More

Probably the best bakery in Hamilton, Cake and Loaf is a guilty pleasure. A loaf of bread will cost you over seven dollars! That's right a better part of a ten piece. I dare you to go there and not spend over twenty dollars. Every so often, if I've been a good boy I'll go and buy some deserts there... More

Ok folks this bakery has it all. Fantastic staff, amazing baked goods, and Nutella Latte...that's right, Nutella Latte! Happy days!!!! The fresh baked cookies, brownies, scones, cinnamon bun with cream cheese icing and their breads are all outstanding. Can't wait to have this bakery cater my next function. Highly recommend!!!

The food is great quality and they purchase from local suppliers. I've never had anything that I didn't love!

I heard about the Cake and Loaf via my daughter who lives in Hamilton. I was here for a visit and We picked up a little lunch. It was super yummy! We had a lunch tray, a pastry each and drinks; there was something for everyone! Savoury and sweet, all was good,,including espresso/Americano and delicious cold brewed iced coffee.

Thank JoAnne F
