Excellent food and great atmosphere. You really cannot go wrong here, I can't recommend it highly enough. The food, the staff, the other patrons - all of it is top notch.

Decided to come here on a Saturday night for a family dinner w a party of 6.. We were in the mood for some hearty comfort food and upon reading reviews and searching menus, we decided on Squires. Highlights of our visit: -Cozy fireplace in the middle of the restaurant. Lots of booths and comfortable seating. -Server was Very patient... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our Pub. I am very sorry for issues that you had with the glassware and a foreign object in your food. We clearly must pay more attention to the polishing of our glassware. That never should have happened and I apologize for that and I have spoken to our team about maintaing... More

Came with a small group of girlfriends, it was busy but we sat in the bar area. The food was great, 2 of us had pies and they easily made a modification on the steak & Guinness pie for my friend !! The service was quick and our drinks were never empty, great attention by all servers . Fantastic Friday... More

Recently went here for dinner and was not disappointed. The menu was varied with the usual pub fare but had a good selection of alternate items, ie, Thai, Indian curries, etc. We had the Guinness and steak pie which was excellent. A generous portion and very fresh - just excellent! The chicken pot pie was also really, really good. Pricing... More

We have been going to Squires on Hamilton Mountain for many Years, because of the English /Scottish Menu. so, one Saturday last month we went to the Squires in Burlington. Upon entering the restaurant area at the door, we were almost 'rolled' over by the shear number of kids running around. This is not what the 2 Squires are about... More

Thank you for giving our restaurant an opportunity to earn your business. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your experience. We have had the Kids Eat Free Promotion going for several years now, and by your observations, you can see how busy it can get! I like to think that we appeal to a wide variety of Guest's... More

My friend and I came for dinner, and were really excited to see the offering of half price apps weekdays from 3-7. We had some, in addition to the chicken fingers. The food was fresh and delicious, and service was excellent. The menu has something to appeal to everyone, and prices are quite reasonable given the quality. Unfortunately, I was... More

Thank you for your kind words. I am so glad that you enjoyed your food and service. Just to clarify, we are not associated with the Squires based in Hamilton. We operate as an independent restaurant with a different concept and owners. That's the reason for the menu differences and name change. Thank you for your business! More

Half price apps to start were good. Tried the house made mozzarella sticks with Marinara for the first time and the always good deep fried pickles. Shepherds Pie and Meatloaf portions are large and tasty. Good, filling Pub fare.

We've tried many restaurants in Burlington but were looking for somewhere different to try. Looked at reviews and menu and decided on Squires. Wasn't too busy as it was earlyish for dinner rush but bar area pretty busy with sports enthusiasts watching tv's. Service, food and value were all great. We tried chicken wings, club sandwich, fish and chips, calamari... More

Finally a restaurant that lives up to a promise of 'from scratch' cooking. Chef Steven Lightfoot delivers a varied menu. At our family visit we choose everything from comfort food favourites like liver and onions to Asian fare like Pad Thai and curries. There was something for everyone and each dish got lots of smiles and 'two thumbs-up'. We loved... More

Thank you so much for your great review. We do try very hard to live up to that moniker of "Scratch Cooking". We are trying very hard to get our menu as close to it as possible. We currently make our Naan Bread from scratch and now we are making our own Hamburger Buns from scratch, freshly baked in our... More

Consistently a great place to go for dinner/drinks. The food is excellent - obviously freshly made and clearly homemade (no freezer stuff). The prices are what you would except from a pub, but the food quality and quantity exceeds expectations! I've gone here for date nights and family dinners out. It's never too busy, and the service has always been... More

Description
Squires Public House rebranded in 2015, formerly known as Ye Olde Squire, is independently owned and operated in this location since 2006, by the same owner. We strive to serve the freshest food possible, and we hate anything frozen! We are dedicated to the art of scratch cooking including in house baked hamburger buns, and naan bread. We make all of our own sauces and stews, use fresh meats sourced locally, hand cut Yukon gold fries and house made desserts. Our menu is varied and diverse and we love to put interesting items on our menu, food that you just don't find in an ordinary Pub! Please try us some time. I promise you won't be disappointed.
