As suppliers to the Bull, my colleague Jennifer and I are also customers. And this review is all about how we are treated as customers. What always amazes me is that every single time we come in, we are treated as valued guests. You'd think that would be a given, but we've experienced plenty of places that don't deliver on... More

On Dec 29, 2016 I held a surprise retirement party for my husband. From booking to food choices to serving and the food itself, everything was great. Food delicious and plenty of it for the venue, flexible with the choices and Marianne, our server seemed to be everywhere at once. Thanks Yvette for your hospitality.

The meal, atmosphere and service was great! Food is Irish in origin, cooked properly, described correctly and meats your expectations.

Great little english style pub. Located in a nondescript spot at the end of a strip of industrial/commercial business malls right by the Highway 400 in Barrie. But, enter through the cozy vestibule and you're transported into a very authentic looking dark wood paneled pub, complete with a great bar with many stools. A cozy fireplace with it's own little... Came here for drinks and snacks very noisy distracting ball team Prevented us from hearing each other but we moved to another spot but we still struggled to hear. Some Appies were ok, the chicken strips were over done and leathery. But the clam strips were done to perfection. No shrimp at 830 at night was dissapointing. Service was friendly... More

The Bull and Barrel Pub has been enjoying an increase in traffic over the last few years. Part of the reason for our increased success is the fact that we support local sports teams as do many establishments in Barrie and in return they support us. I am sorry they distracted you from your company. If you check with the... More

Went for a live music night with friends. S.Good Band was fantastic! Food was good, but unfortunately the staff was overwhelmed. One waitress seemed disinterested in speaking with us upon arrival. We found our own seats, read the specials to ourselves, and even found our own menus. Thankfully the bartender came out and took our drink and food orders. She... More

I do apologise for your service experience last weekend. It's always challenging to provide the best service when working with new staff members, however I am happy that the bartender did her best to take care of you. Sandra Good will be back in February and I hope you entice your wife to return to give us another try. Thanks... More

Food okay, service slow and disorganized. Staff seemed overwhelmed. For a 'pub' draft beer selection very limited, no local offerings.

Our location is somewhat unusual and tucked off the beaten path, but we like the ample parking and quiet surroundings here at Cedar Pointe. I'm sorry you experienced less than optimal service on your recent visit. I will be meeting with service staff to determine what went wrong in your case. We do carry some local beers such as Creemore,... More

Five of us had dinner. The atmosphere is that of an older pub in Ireland. The wait staff was friendly, food was delicious and plentiful, and the prices are reasonable. We would love to go again for dinner.

Been stopping by this place for years. Favourite things on the menus are Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding and Irish Nachos. Many a retirement send-off has been held here -- the perfect atmosphere for it. Some of the groups they get in to play are excellent, including members of the Steel City Rollers.

Thanks Cynthia for taking the time to let others know of your experiences at the Bull and Barrel Pub. We're proud of the fact that we have been supporting local talent here for over ten years. Warm, inviting pub atmosphere, friendly service & tasty food! There's a good selection of draft beers as well as bottled & other drinks and the patio is a great place to hang out on sunny days!

Cozy "local" serving a wide variety of imported and domestic beers for over 20 years. With our Axminster carpet, dark wood, fireplace and brass fittings, it's easy to see why this place reminds many ex-pat regulars of the pub they left back home. Our menu is a cross-section of Canadian and traditional pub fare, featuring fish and chips, house made pub pies and arguably the best liver and onions in town. We've been a supporter of local and live entertainment for the last 10 years which is on tap most Saturday nights. We are close to Hwy 400 making us the perfect stop-off on your way up to ski & cottage country or on your way home to the city. Our patrons voted us Best Pub in Barrie two years running. Come and judge for yourself.
