The atmosphere is lovely, staff is extremely friendly and food is out of this world. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Probably the best pizza I've had in the 3 years I've been in NS. We were helped by Kim and Bobby Jo (I'm so sorry if I'm spelling that wrong!) Truly though, the flavour... I don't know if I can accurately describe how good it...was! I thought about taking a picture after we'd finished it. (We got the New York 9") Two hours later my boyfriend turned to me and said "we should have ordered one for later, to take home!"More
The pizzas are just incredible - they are appropriately sized and there's an excellent variety of toppings. Would happily go back anytime!
A bit out of the way but well worth the detour. My husband and I each had an individual 9" pizza, the Palermo for my husband and the Ambrosia for me. We were moaning with pleasure after each bite! Generous quantities of fresh ingredients, the...pizza crust was delicious, just the right thickness and tender/crisp. We picked up our bottle of wine and wine glasses at the counter, when we ordered; the pizzas were delivered to our table. The atmosphere was cozy, the service friendly and pleasant. There was only one guy doing all the work and he managed it all deftly, with a smile. He looked happy to be there and so were we!! Will return soon.More
Read about how delicious the pizza was at Tomavinos so we ventured out during Hurricane Lee with the winds blowing 50-60 MPH. We were staying across the street and were glad we were close. This is quite a quaint place and the pizza was wonderful....The ingredients were fresh and the crust was to die for. We highly recommend Tomavinos.More
Stopped in for pizza after spending a couple of hours at the Canadian Immigration Museum across the street. We ordered two individual pizzas - one had feta and olives, the other had soppressata and goat cheese. Both were delicious, generously topped and the crust was...great - not too doughy, and just the right amount of crispness. We ate outside which was lovely. Staff working behind the counter and serving were very friendly and helpful.More
Visiting from Ontario; dropped in for lunch. This place is spectacular! The food is delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly.
Our favorite thing to do inHalifax is take our dogs to Garrison brewery on the waterfront and order the absolute BEST pizza in the city from Tomavinos next door. They use very fresh ingredients and the flavours are incredible. You can also enjoy their pizza...and salads in their own restaurant. Honestly I have had pizza in many cities and none match these. You have to try their Ambrosia!More
While the pizza in this restaurant was good, it certainly wasn’t great/awesome/unbelievable, etc. Leaving me to believe that TripAdvisor reviews are bogus. This simply can’t be the best pizza in Halifax. Pleasant atmosphere, low-key, one beer on tap, one size pizza, limited choices. Pleasant serving...personnel. But most definitely not the best pizza in Halifax. Not even close.More
The only duplicity here is emanating from your review. We have won the award for the best pizza in Halifax sponsored by the Atlantic Fringe Society, details of which are on our website. Furthermore hundred of people from major cities in North America have shared...More
A stone’s throw away for Pier 21 aka the Immigration Museum. This small pizza place offers individual pizza for around 15$. Great service. Good pizza options.
Wonderful little pizza place by Pier 21- best pizza we have ever had… the selections were just right, something for everyone… took their recommendations on the accompanying wine.. staff was wonderful and Tony himself was pleasant and wonderful host, and cook Would rate this a...10 out of 5 if I couldMore
Pizza is YUMMY. Service is great. If you’re looking for a well-established local spot that feels like home, come here!!!
At Tomavinos — Last Sunday (June 25 ) Marie was in Halifax (day trip) We decided to go to Tomavinos for pizza & cold beer. It is supposed to be #1 Pizza Place 4th restaurant in Halifax ( Tripadvisor). My review: Pizza was good. 8/10...Service was not good. 1/10 Very small inside Local beer/drinks in a tiny cooler… warm Asked if had any cold ones…seemed unsure…said no. Then I noticed a beer on tap (cold) that’s it… one size. Perhaps meant to be a take out. Not a friendly vibe but again pizza was 🤤More
Food was good, nothing spectacular. Service was good at the beginning when my friend and I were attended by the girl at the counter, she was great. My friend and I were watching videos from home. Unfortunately, one of the cooks, came out to tell...us that we were being annoying to them and that we were ruining the environment for the other clients. There was only a family of 3 on the other side of the place which we apologized and they said that we didn’t bother them. If it wasn’t for this lady, the experience would have been better.More
Our company regularly meets at Garrison next door for after work drinks and Tomavinos quickly became a staple of those nights out. My favourite is the Canadian (shown in the photo) but they have a great selection of interesting options. Super friendly service, really good...value and AMAZING pizza every time. If you’re reading this - do it!More
