My boyfriend and I visited the Five Fishermen on Valentine's Day. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. We had the complementary appetizer for Valentine's Day and she stopped by our table to make sure that we had the plant-based appetizer ( as I do...not eat meat). The food was delicious and the service was excellent all the way through. Staff greeted and smiled at us wherever we were. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner.More

Read about this restaurant and was enthralled about its connection to the Titanic. The decor inside is lovely, service was very attentive, food good. My only complaint was the pop music blaring a tad too loud over the speakers..really took away from the experience. Maybe...something more low key, from the Titanic Era would be more suitable and fit the mood? Just my take on it...also when I mentioned it to our server, she accommodated us by adjusting the volume. So much potential here 🙂More

We had not visited the Five Fish in years and were so happy we rediscovered it. In the past few months we’ve eaten here twice with friends and the food was fantastic. The scallops are delicious and the halibut and haddock were so flavorful. The...atmosphere was elegant but peaceful. I would encourage you to give it a try. The only downside is the tiny desserts. More like a two bite sweet not a true piece of cake. We actually thought they’d given us a sample to try when they served the dessert. Enjoy the meal.More

We had a great supper at Five Fisherman. I had the red peppered haddock with scallop potatoes and it was amazing. The desert was also great! A little pricy, but the atmosphere/food is so worth it! :)

This is my third trip to this restaurant, which has become a go-to destination in Halifax. The food is absolutely delicious, and I know good food. There is a keen attention to detail and ingredients are all super fresh and tasty. Our party had the...Seafood Seacuterie Board, the Smoked Steak Tartar (truly smoked with an evaporating cloud on removal of the dome), and the amazing Five Fish experience. Truly delicious. Service cannot be faulted. Highly recommended. Thank you to the wonderful chef and long may this restaurant continue. Thank you also for the fresh red roses handed to the ladies after dinner. Nice touch.More

We were looking forward to our evening at this Halifax standard however, it completely missed the mark. We had a reservation however, ended up waiting 15 minutes for our table despite there being several open tables in the restaurant. The arctic char was ok, the...rib eye was really over cooked and we had to wait 10 minutes for the waitress to come back so they could redo the order. Second steak was better however, still underwhelming. Prices are steep given the quality.More

Great food. Great wine. Great ambiance. The pork was so delicious, my dates steak was so on par and the wine list as well as cocktails were absolutely everything. I’ve recommended it to everyone I know travelling to Halifax since that day. 10/10
