If I am craving fish, clams, or scallops and chips I will rarely actively choose anywhere but John's. It's the best, the place is great and it doesn't smell fishy because they use super fresh, delicious seafood. Best place to bring people from out of...More

Great food, great service and great value. It was an old diner that kept up with the times. Food just flies off the grill and it was tremendous value. Next time I'm here I will make it one of must stop sites. Know for his...More

Coworker picked up clams n' chips for me and it was a well needed fulfilling meal. Clams cooked just right, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Fries so fresh and perfect they could've been used in a photo shoot. 10/10

My perhaps biased review has to do with the fish and chips, which have been described by many as "the best in Canada". As a local in Halifax, I would go elsewhere: example: Willman's Fish and Chips in the North end of the city. Infinitely...More

The menu needs to expand. They specialize in grease. You can smell it before you enter the restaurant.

What is there to say. John's Lunch has the best Fish and chips and clams in all of NS. Very friendly staff. Quick service. Doesn't matter how busy, it only yakes a few moments to get your order. You gotta eat here
