History of building is interesting, picnic tables indoors, burgers and fries or steak sandwich average.

The 2017 operator of the Wildcat Cafe was average. The food would be satisfactory for most, but nothing in terms of exciting flavours or innovative menu. Be sure to check back in 2018 to see who gets the license to operate this location.

Food was acceptable and so was the service. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, so since it was an amazing sunny day we sat outside and it was great! The restaurant tries to give off a rustic feel and it succeeded with camping styles...More

Really sweet place with local vibe! I love the cabin feel and the food is pretty great! The bison pouting is amazing! The bison stew, chicken roti, and the vege dip appetizer are all amazing! I was disappointed in the Korean chicken wings and jambalaya...More

The Wildcat Cafe lunch that we had was awesome! The roti was perfect and I was a bit surprised to find it in Yellowknife! The chef did a great job with all of our meals and I'd highly recommend this historic restaurant. Great place to...More

Take time to read the plaque and learn the history of the building. You can find local dishes on the menu. When the tables ar full, don't be surprised if someone asks if they can join you.

Callow and dis engaged wait staff ruined the experience at the Wildcat. This place should be a museum as the staff were already gone. Disappointing tourist trap! Not recommend at all.

We had lunch at the wildcat café. The sangria was great, the atmosphere was great and the bison burger was awesome.

This restaurant now owned by the city is open in the summer for lunch & dinner. Patio seating available in nice weather. Simple meals & snacks in a log cabin setting. It has been rebuilt but retains historical charm. Chicken Caesar salad very good.

Stopped in for to have a break to have a snack, and ordered the Jalapeño Poppers. They were so nasty. Regular jalapeño peppers, hallowed out, with what tasted like cheese that came from one of those spray cans with bits of bacon. I've had better...More
