Prices are high considering the lack of ambience and diner style furnishings, but staff is great, menu is good, and the food is good. Nice TVs if you like watching sports while dining. Cocktails were weak but also not very expensive.

Every time I was in Yellowknife for work or sports always come here. Amazing food, service and atmosphere. ED the owner always supports local and even supported my basketball team, as well as my families business Polar Egg by using local eggs. Ed is always seen at the restaurant doing all jobs from serving cooking hell I even saw him... More

The food was excellent, but the new location was a challenge. You have to climb two flights of stairs to get to the restaurant. The kitchen isn't properly ventilated because the entire dining area was filled with smoke from the grill. I came out smelling like a BBQ steak.

Really enjoyed the menu and service here. They are rebuilding from an unfortunate fire and are doing a fine job.

With friends who used to live in Yellowknife who knew Ed and his family, we decided to check out the new location for the restaurant. Upon entering the building, there was an overpowering smell coming from the basement of mould or mildew that put us off. We persevered and went upstairs. It was worth it. Food was great for pub... Happened to stop around lunch time and had a beer and something to eat. It could have been a bar/lounge anywhere in North America. The TV's were on Sports news and the ambiance was like any other place - with the blinds drawn I was able to forget I was in Yellowknife...but I didn't want to forget I was in... More

Ordered Coyote Burger, never tasted a burger better than this one, left me craving for more. Yellowknife left me a good memory about the beef taste which in Edmonton did not. Daughter serving us, also has a very nice personality. This place was opened 1 day ahead of grand opening on a Sunday.

Our last trip here was excellent. Great food at a price that was hard to beat in the north. I loved that they have some local fare tossed in with the delicious steak/rib house favorites. It was the Tuesday deal that brought us in because the kids ate free. Large portions!

I went to Coyotes for lunch and had the soup and sandwich special. I was greeted promptly and seated. The waitress was polite and chipper and took my order and brought me something to drink. My food was brought to me in a timely manner and as I was enjoying my meal I was checked on several times to see... More
