Rather dirty surroundings (food on floor, etc), reasonably good beer, excellent fish and chips. Worth a single visit but probably wouldn't return.

Stopped in for lunch. One of the best fish & chips I have ever had. Can't beat fresh cod. Close to downtown but on a side street. Great atmosphere.

Cod is caught here in St Johns. At the Duke it's served fresh. Delicious. Loads of chips so we asked if we could share a 2 piece fish plate. No problem. waitress very obliging. The pub itself is English style and great atmosphere.

Fun spot for a drink after work or to catch up with a friend. Had a couple appetizers and they were also good.

Fish and chips so delicious. Nicely decorated and lit. Quite a full crowd there on a weeknight. Good spot to go on a nice evening.
