One of the best meals I've ever had. Seven course tasting menu paired with wine. The service was outstanding, both the waiter and the sommelier. Food impeccable. What a treat.

I orginally dined at Raymond's a couple of years ago.  Overall we weren't impressed and hadn't returned until this week.  I really wanted to give it another chance...so here goes. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the hostess...very friendly and she seated us.  We...More

This is a beautiful restaurant but the food is a huge disappointment. We had the seven course tasking menu and it was less than average. The selections of wine by the glass were shockingly poor and their so-called sommelier didn't seem to know what she...More

Too much pretension and too much bother: Demi-glace; Au jus; Confit; Reduction You need an eidetic memory or shorthand skills to remember whether they were talking about beef or cod. Paying by credit card is yet another production number. If I go back? I will...More

I must be susceptible to the hype about this place because despite three previous so so evenings, we tried again. The menu is now much more limited: either a three course set meal (three choices of appetizer, three of main and three desserts) or a...More

Raymonds is billed as St. John's top restaurant and it didn't disappoint. There's much to like about Raymonds: the dining room provides an elegant setting with a soaring ceiling, beautiful finishes and views out to the harbour through large windows, impeccable service by both the...More

Living in Newfoundland and Labrador, we’re blessed in having access to some of the best seafood, meat, and produce in the world. Having such a bountiful larder right on our doorsteps means we’re able to adopt a truly sustainable approach to fine dining – sourcing locally-grown ingredients and getting to know independent purveyors. We've made every effort to make dining at Raymonds a unique and rare treat. Visit us at 95 Water Street in the heart of downtown St. John’s. Our dinner menu, prepared by head chef Jeremy Charles, is inspired by rustic Atlantic Canadian cuisine. It features authentic dishes that take advantage of Newfoundland and Labrador’s rich variety of seafood, wild game, berries and vegetables, while also exploring innovative, 'haute cuisine' ingredient combinations and finishes.
