When you go to a b&b rather than a motel you expect an atmosphere. Not only was there no one to greet us, our key was left for us in a mailbox, and we were the only ones staying there. The blow was that it...was my husband's birthday, and we had gone there for the restaurant. It was closed. Had they told us that when we reserved, at least we would have been ready for it and would have gone elsewhere - or stayed home. What we weren't ready for was a locked and closed building with no knowledge if we had a room or not. When we phoned, there was info that there was an envelope in the mailbox for us. We had booked the best room. Unfortunately, there was no fridge, no cups for tea, no ice for drinks and no person to ask for anything such as recommendations to another nice restaurant. We were completely on our own in the auberge. We had a lovely room to sleep in - but had hoped for more. It will be motels from here on in. Breakfast was okay and the lady was lovely. I had remembered it as a bit more lavish the year before. So all in all, a birthday unlike what I had imagined. We were really disappointed.More

Thank you to Stacey for making the effort to move us to another room when our TV cable box was not working. After trying another box, she gave us the option to move to another room... "a suite". Great move to ensure we went away...HAPPY! Thank you!More

Gabriele’s was part of Viva’s Strolling and Tasting Tour and the mussels were great !! - and so was the Restuarant! We’ll be back again to enjoy dinner and live music.

We grabbed the opportunity of a French styled restaurant to have escargot as starter. The large Gabriel salade was fresh crispy and delicious. Main course was oven baked maple glazed salmon, served with rice and vegetables - superb!. On top of all this we enjoyed...attentive and professional service by Maria.More

Not a comfortable place. Steep and long stairs and no elevator. Couvertures and furniture not truly clean. Small rooms and very noisy, the hotel is close to a main and busy street. Every whisper from adyacent rooms could be heard. Reception busy, young lady not...helpful neither nice. No kettle, neither refrigerator.More

Me and the misses went out when the hunger for Lobster couldn’t be withheld anymore. The lobster was brilliant 🦞, but what really made our night incredible was the outstanding service from Jolene! Thank you so much ! Hope to visit again sometime

We went to "Chez Gabriele" for our anniversary supper. We were promptly seated and our waiter was attentive, although it did take some time to get our orders. This is a nice restaurant although it was a bit on the noisy side the night we...were in. I enjoyed the "Gabriele Salad" followed by "Maple Salmon w/rice and veggies" and my wife had "Acadian Mussels" & "Seafood Linguini" which they put their own spin on. Overall we had a good dining experience and would eat here again.More

If it is warm enough they have an outside dining area. The staff are pleasant and service is good. The night we were there they had local musician playing. Which made for a pleásant evening.

Lobster was perfect. Vegetables seasoned so nicely. Joline waited on us. Funny and efficient. What a wonderful meal and experience.

Auberge Gabriel is a beautiful restaurant with views of the bay of Shediac. The sea food selection is huge. !
