Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were a large group (almost 50) gathered in Shediac for a 3 day retreat. This restaurant provided take out lunches for us, to the community centre. Food is awesome and well-presented. Recommended.

This restaurant is an old two story home and each room houses a huge collection of oddities everywhere to keep your senses busy. The ambiance is amazing. They have a wonderful outdoor patio. Service was excellent and timely. Even though quite busy they were able to...accommodate us and our service dog.  The food was exceptional and the serving sizes were above average. The Hummus platter was amazing. The food was nice and hot, unlike the luke warm food that one normally gets served nowadays. The Lobster Quesadillas was a full platter of food with a generous amount of lobster meat. The Chicken Fricot made in-house with homemade dumplings was sooo good.  The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the  food quality and proportions. This is worthy of many repeat visits for us!More

Such a quirky, unique and fun place to visit. You will be entertained with all the teacups, clocks, games etc… We had the lobster quesadilla (would have preferred a smaller tortilla size with the same amount of lobster filling, instead of just eating a lot...of bread with not enough filling spread out), red pepper soup (not worth the price we paid, would not order again). We would try again if we were in the area.More

Due to Covid and being both immune compromised, we wanted to sit outside at the only table that an umbrella provided cover from the light rain. Only problem it was a table for 4 & we were 2. The hostess would not let us sit...there. She tried sliding the table for 2 under said umbrella but it did not work well; we were getting wet. Inside was too tight to provide social distancing. We know the food is usually good here but we were disappointed in their approach to this situation. We decided to walk away - we had been looking forward to this outing… left a bad impression.More

We were seated at 7:45pm, onion soup and green salad were quickly brought and both of these were very nice. 8:40 pm received our entrees which were clearly heated in the microwave. I picked up my pasta which was all clumped together on my fork....My husband’s stir fry was of the same poor quality, tough and dry. No apology was given, even when suggested it might be the right thing to do. We paid for what we were able to eat. My suggestion, keep driving or walk past Le Morque-Tortue in Shediac.More

Atmospher was fun and interesting. Each room completely decorated in its own game and Alice in Wonderland theme. I’d give it full marks for decor. Lots of choice on the menue and the four of us had different choices. All four dishes were well above...average. The STAFF was poor….real poor. They seemed bored, angry and intolerant. While they did indeed deliver all the correct verbiage, the tone, intonation and demeanour all screamed..”what the heck do you want, I’m fed up here and don’t want to be doing this!” I passed one of them in the hall and said “hi” and was met with a look that was dismissive and intolerant. I’ll give it a second try….hopefully it was just a bad night!More

This was a family of five for dinner. The service was very good. It was efficient and very attentive. The drinks and appetizers were ordered and they arrived very quickly. The mains were all very nice. The chowder and nachos were particularly well received. The...French onion soup could have had a little more soup and a little less bread and the accompanying side salads need a better dressing. But aside from those minor notations it was a very good experience. The desserts were very generous to boot. I would return again to be sure.More

I never give five star, however this restaurant is deserving of this rating. I had the mango lobster salad and my husband had the macaroni and lobster, simply put….it was the best!!!!! Our server was Allen and he was very cheerful and witty. I would...go back in a heartbeat.More

My family and I came to this restaurant and had a amazing time. My siblings are young and with the 300+ board games the restaurant had, even they enjoyed themselves. The food was made fast with great taste, quality, and portions. They had tons of...options for allergies such as gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant and even shellfish! It truly was a nice time and we definitely will be back.More

Run don't walk to Le Moque-Tortue and experience the Lobster Quesadilla! I can't wait to try their Lobster Roll which receives especially great reviews. The quality of ingredients and sizable portions makes this my new favorite restaurant for seafood in Shediac!!!

The menu is limited but we hoped that meant that the food would be good. The food was nice, but seemed overpriced for the quality. They seemed to be understaffed so service was slow. The owner was running around doing their best, but they were...trying to do too many things. Maybe they need to reduce the number of tables and guests if they don't have the staff they need.More

This Bistro is located in town Shediac. Get there early as there is limited parking. It's an eclectic setting with mixed tables and chairs within tight room settings. We might have felt less contained if we had sat outside. We went for lunch. The menu...is varied and our choices of meals were tasty yet pricy for the quantity we received. I would not attend this location for supper.More

The cost is not “hourly” - it’s $5/person to access the collection, and it’s all-you-can-play! If you’re just in for a drink or a bite instead of playing games, there’s no admission fee.
