We have visited Lovey's BBQ twice in the past week. Both times the food and service were fantastic! We have tried the pulled pork poutine, the pulled pork terminator burger (fantastic!), the burnt ends, the brisket and the farmer sausage and all were very good! And you have to try the pigtail fries...they are my new favorite meal! Honestly, if... More

If you are looking for Winnipeg's best BBQ, look no further than Lovey's. We stopped for an early supper as a family and had the pulled pork poutine, bacon cheese burger and a beef brisket sandwich with farmers sausage. All the dishes were delicious and very filling. Will definitely be back when we are around The Peg!

I stopped in to this place as I'd seen it when living in the neighbourhood. I went with a friend and we ordered a combination platter. It was a big greasy mess, the fries were drenched in oil, the ribs were very fatty and the service felt like they didn't care. There was nobody else in the place and sadly,... More

Ribs good, but not great. You don't get a rack of ribs, just cut pieces, even though menu says rack. Beef brisket sandwich was gross, fatty, way too chewy for a sandwich. Needed a knife and fork and left most of it for trash. Burger was good, not great. Slaw was good, not great. Seventy bucks later we felt ripped... More

Ok, first off don't go to this place if you aren't into meat. I love bacon and am not shy about it. This establishment has the best beef brisket I have ever had it's like having thick marbled roast beef in a bun and the sauces make it fantastic. Our second visit I went with their in house hamburger and... More

My wife and I enjoyed a great BBQ supper at Lovey's. The staff were very pleasant and we received our food very quickly. It's a good thing we were both very hungry as we ordered a platter to share as the portions were enormous. The quality of the food was excellent too and we got to try a good variety... More

We shared two of the full baskets. $88 was a little pricey for what we got. it was all very tasty and tender but way too many fries underneath making it look as though there was a lot of food. i would go for a simple plate each if i were to go again. It was delivered quickly but it... More

Heartily agree with their recommendation! Restaurant smokes their own meat daily. If you like barbecue, you should try Lovey's!

The ribs and brisket were with leftover taste, with microwave food taste, dry and unseasoned. Even the appearance was bad. How can a BBQ house not smell or smoke meat? Microwave. We were very disappointed with the lack of quality of the meat. I already ate ribs and briskets made in the pit oven and the taste was totally different... More
