The fish and local dishes were such a treat and very plentiful with their portions. I spent an evening on the porch watching the train, eating, and reading. Couldn't ask for a better meal.

The location with its two fireplaces and wooden walls is very inviting. The waitress was nice. The food on the other hand was partly cold, the meat too chewy and the price too high. They also don't serve alcohol. Didn't go twice...

They have great local food served by a very friendly staff. The Arctic char was Exceptional and the rest of the menu provided good choices.

The restaurants in Churchill are quite good considering how small a town this is. Lazy Bear is a good choice for any meal..

Stopped here for lunch as part of a group. Good variety of items on the menu and everyone was happy with their meals and the portion sizes. Friendly staff and good service. Only decided not to eat dinner there as some of the group wanted alcohol with their evening meal.

Came here for dinner one night and loved the ambiance. The cafe and hotel is very beautiful, and we really enjoyed the rustic setting with fireplace and large windows. Unfortunately the meal and the service were a total let down. The meal was not good at all, and I am not a picky person whatsoever. The food was completely unappetizing,... More

We ate at Lazy Bear Cafe many times during our 5 days in Churchill. Every time the food was great and the service was wonderful! They have a wide variety of food choices. It is also a cozy atmosphere for a hot drink to escape the cold!

We had pickerel (walleye) and thin tender strips of bison with gravy. Fresh broccoli and great service, even though they were very busy and we did not have a reservation. A pleasant surprise was a fashion show of locally made women's clothing, presented by the designer, Edna.

We stopped in for a quick bite of coffee and deserts and were pleased with the food and service. The cafe is lovely inside.

A one-of-a-kind dining experience

Comfortable, hand-built log furnishings await you at the end of your day's adventures in the unique dining room. Indigenous foods such as Braised Peppered Elk, Arctic Char and Manitoba Bison grace the tables. Finding foods from this seemingly barren landscape may seem impossible; 15 kinds of wild berries and numerous species of mushrooms can be gathered in the area. The made-from-scratch main entrees provide a culinary adventure each day.
