OMG - this food was just awful! Nothing special and the house special fried rice. A few pieces of chicken and some tasteless prawns. No vegetables in the vegetable chow mean. Sweet and sour pork tasteless and the sesame chicken not much better.
We ordered last night, 1st took almost an hour and 1/2 and being that it took to long the food was warm at most the orange beef was good but no spicy kick you expect the BBQ pork fried rice wasn’t ‘fried’ and the wonton...soup broth was tasteless! For the 60 bucks dropped was a complete waste. And the portion was the smallest container ever! NOT WORTH IT!More
Haven't ordered from this restaurant in awhile although it has been our go to place for Chinese Food delivery for quite sometime. Heard it has new owners and that is not always a good thing. However last night we gave it a go and we...sure weren't disappointed. We had friends over and we all agreed the food was excellent.More
Love them we order once a month, dinner for 4 Close by always ready on time, we pick up Food ie great love the noodles
We tried it tonight for the first time and we terribly disappointed. Kung pao chicken was terrible. Too much sauce not much chicken. The ginger beef was pretty good about a 7 out of 10. The vegetable mix of string beans, broccoli and sugar snap...peas was also terrible. The Beans were tough and the strings in the snap peas weren’t removed so you had to spit them out...hardly any chicken in the chicken chow mein. I had zero in my serving and I didn’t like the noodles. Sweet and sour boneless pork was ok. We won’t recommend or order from here again. Very disappointed....90$ for 5 dishes (delivered) would have been better spent elsewhereMore
I have travelled to Penang, Malaysia (specifically because of their reputation for their delicious dishes) and I love authentic Szechuan cuisine. Penang Szechuan is neither. Most of their food is drowned in their ubiquitous "brown sauce" which tastes like a derivative of oyster and hoisin...sauces. It's Asian food prepared for Caucasians who think pineapple chicken balls are an authentic Chinese dish. The only dish which was good was the sambal green beans. I was profoundly disappointed with the food served here.More
Ordered take out twice and both times the food and service have exceeded my expectations. I absolutely love their Penang Mee goreng and Sambal green beans with prawns. The size are generous and price isn’t too expensive. Orange chicken and honey garlic pork are really...delicious too! Highly recommend! I only wish they are open Sundays.More
Wanted to give this restaurant one more chance as the last time we ordered for take out which was 2 months ago, my wife and I were very disappointed with the quality of food. Craving an Asian dinner, we decided to give this restaurant another...chance as we have been long time, 20 years + patrons of this restaurant. Again we were very disappointed in the quality of food. As my wife said, while eating, it seemed like the food was pre made and just reheated. The Sambal chicken ordered looked like it was boiled and not cooked in a wok as it was white in colour, had no spices and was flavourless. There was no string beans as indicated on their menu. The broccoli tasted like it was cooked in fish as neither of us could even eat this dish. The fried rice looked and tasted like it was steamed rice that was quickly heated and lacking any spices and flavour. The deep fried wontons were very small and all that we could taste was overcooked batter. One would expect that all the food would be freshly made and using fresh ingredients. There was no way that any of this food was cooked in a wok, maybe two or three days ago, and as we both agreed, the food was definitely reheated, probably in a microwave, as neither of us enjoyed any of the dishes ordered. Maybe there are some people, according to the reviews, who don't care too much about the quality of food and rate this restaurant quite high. With both my wife and myself being excellent chefs and have eaten exceptional food around the world, we were extremely disappointed as this use to be one of the best Asian restaurants in White Rock. It's unfortunate that White Rock no longer has Asian restaurants who provide excellent quality of food and good value for the money, which this restaurant does not.More
I come here regularly, it’s always my go-to spot when I’m craving a good General Tsao. They have a Nice mix of Chinese and Malaysian and even pad Thai for a good noodle choice. The owners are so sweet too, I highly recommend it! Fave...dishes: General Tsao Orange/Sesame chicken Pad Thai chicken Lemon Chicken chunksMore
My wife and I went for dinner last night, I had curry chicken which was ok, I assumed it would come with rice....it didn’t maybe my mistake so probably should not have assumed it would. My wife had pad Thai which she had had many...times from different establishments, the colour of this dish was a strange pink colour......which did not look appealing one bit, the taste she didn’t like to much..... Probably not go back again.....More
My wife was craving some won ton soup the other day. We live in the area and there are many options. I chose this one for some reason. Probably because it was one of the closest options. It was $10 for a large won ton...soup. The actual won tons were sooooo small. I have never seen ones that small. They were almost non existent they were so small. I wish I could have taken a photo to show people that I am not embellishing this comment but my phone doesn't have a zoom that powerful LOL. They should be ashamed selling these. We will never go back. Never. I would suggest with all the options around that you spend your money elsewhere. ***IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO INDICATE SO***More
Wish we had discovered it long ago as it is our first choice for asian food on the Peninsula. Have not dined in the restaurant but the food delivery service has always been dependable and food is hot. Have recommended to family and friends with...all good feedback. Gluten free options was a big bonus to a member of our family.More
Very good, actually. Szechuan for sure but some Malaysian and Thai thrown in. The egg rolls are OK. The ginger crispy beef is to die for. Curry chicken is good and the chow mien is exceptional. Great service. Lots of locals who obviously know a...good thing when they taste it.More
A friend told me about this spot many years ago & we finally tried it tonight for our anniversary. The restaurant setting is in an older building & very simple, but clean & pleasant. This family run business of 22 years is surely a hot...spot, with constant customers stopping by to pick up their take-out orders. 'Shang' our waiter was very friendly, helpful & made us feel at home instantly, shaking our hands & remembering our names. And the food, 'amazing' tasty and fresh! loved the vast menu choice's and portions, we left with enough for another meal. We will be back!!More
