We checked into the guest house, and my sweetie just loved the quaint quirkiness of the room. The bathroom is spacious, the room gives you an atmosphere of 19th century decor with 21st century amenities. Later we went for dinner at the brewhouse restaurant. Reservations got us a window seat, with a good view of the harbour lights. Our table... More

Sandy & I stopped by here today to check out their fish & chips. The batter was light and the tartar sauce was delicious. The water glasses are cool.

Had a nice dinner with a couple jars. Good service, good meal, decent value. The place feels a bit crowded as there are a few less tables than when the upper level was open. Nice place. Enjoy.

This is a local institution with a great location on the water. Very good selection of beers. Solid but unspectacular food.

We were able to be seated after a short wait at the bar - walkin guests, mid week around 8pm. The wait at the bar allowed some beer tasting. We shared an appetizer special (calamari) which was reasonably sized, well presented and fresh. This was followed by the Halibut and chips which was a good pub style fish and chips.... More

Had the bangers and mash, the bangers were salty, the mash, blah, and the yorkshire pudding was adequate. Gravy had way too much mustard seed, so it also detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Wife had salmon and chips. Fish over done to being dry and chips were ok. They did have a good selection of beers and... More

We had lunch here last week. Fish & chips (salmon) was good. The restaurant is busy but we went late so seating wasn't a problem. Service was good. (We had a window table directly in line with the front door and it was chilly despite the heating vent nearby. )

We had a reservation & were seated on time. That is the only good point. It was 40 minutes before a waitress came for a drink order & then another 20 before they came. the food took 45 minutes & was cold. when I mentioned it to the server she appeared not to hear me so I told her a... More

They've recovered very nicely from recent fire. Was here with family over holidays, food was great, staff outstanding, especially with youngest members of our troupe at breakfast. View can't be beat either. We could here the sounds of construction repair work upstairs in the pub, but that will be short lived and we considered it 'positive' noise.

Had Moules Frites , with local mussels from Cortez Island. Delicious 😀. Have not had a bad meal here. Took a few "growlers home too.
