We have been coming to the tea room for many years and we find that it is somewhat unpredictable- sometimes the service is good, and other times it is horrible- on one visit, we actually walked out of the restaurant after being seated by the waitress and then not receiving any service for over half an hour. On a good... More

In that vicinity, i think this place gives you the best value for your money. The breakfast is well priced and the meal is good. This is my new breakfast spot for whenever i visit James Bay , Victoria

Craving a British style tea, we went to the James Bay and really delighted in the sandwiches and scones. My husband ordered a salad and loved it. And our daughter loved the decor of the place.

I enjoyed this restaurant. The room is small so best for small parties. I was there alone and it took 30 minutes to get my meal. Plan on going if you aren't in a rush. The food was good and service pleasant.

Thirty-five years ago when I first came here, it was a great place. Over the years with changes in ownership and management, it has drifted toward mediocrity, and my last two visits here have left me feeling not quite satisfied. The servers are friendly, the food is okay, the tea is ordinary, the washroom is tiny.... But if you're looking... More

Walked in and wasn't sure what to think, smelt kinda old and out dated. Was a little disappointed to see they just used regular tea bags not even loose leaf teas but tea tasted fine. Was pleasantly surprised by the lunch we ordered, it all tasted great and everything people around us got looks and smelt amazing also. Great little... More

They have changed ownership but food is still good. Crumpets, scones, etc. Eggs Benedict are great. Cosy location near Parliament.

My wife and I have eaten here at least twenty times in the last few years and we are never disappointed with our meals. The Bangers are excellent! Our servers have always been very nice and the tea room is very warm and inviting. And, it is only a short walk from the inner harbor. A visit to Victoria wouldn't... More

Having read about this little tearoom prior to our visit to Canada and staying at The Royal Scott's Hotel just down the road we called in for afternoon tea. A very warm welcome from a very friendly young lady and we were soon seated at a quaint table all decked out with a checked table cloth surrounded by Royal memorabilia.... More
