A note on the door - Christmas decorations still up - chairs on the tables - so it has to have been closed for at least - I hope they open again and SOON !!!

A short walk from the Best Western Inn on the Harbour. We had the fresh scones and soup with tea, A very quiet place to visit and the staff were very accommodating. Quite an enjoyable quite tea house.

After living in and visiting Victoria for over 50 years I finally stopped here. Service was lovely, breakfast was good, especially the bangers, no the scone. All of it! The atmosphere was great to people watch. I'll be back with more friends.

Victoria is a great city with lots of hustle and bustle. There are many restaurant choices in the heart of the city but we didn't feel like the craziness so we went exploring. Three blocks back from the harbor is this gem. We stumbled on...More

Small place. If you want the 'premium' tea house, go to the Empress where it will cost you $75 for tea. The James Bay tea house offers the discount version of the same thing. Food is rich and well prepared. No complaints.

The cost is about $30 for a pot of tea and the 'Daily Tea'. This includes a two layer plate of sandwiches, baked items and fruit. I will post a picture of it on Trip Advisor.
