My husband and I were looking for a nearby restaurant we could walk to on a rainy night and stopped in here. On Tuesday evenings they have tacos for $1 - $2 each which were perfect for a light snack we were craving. We tried the beef, chicken and pulled pork and all were delicious. The place was packed so... More

Unpretentious spot on the eclectic corner of Davie and Granville Street. Welcoming staff, great pub fare(big portions), perfect for big groups, or as a solo customer to watch the world go by. All walks of life to keep things interesting and everyone is made to feel welcome. If your looking for a wanna be upscale pub where the servers act... More

Tired of walking around, can't figure out what to eat, and how much to spend? Typical pub food BUG large portions! A wide variety of beverages reasonably priced with daily specials. Staff are super friendly, pretty mixed crowd despite a different review stating it's an older crowd. It's simple, super quick service, and in the city in a clean neighbourhood.

My boyfriend and I were on a trip out here from Seattle for our 7 year anniversary and decided to go somewhere for an appetizer and drinks. We were greeted at the door and sat by the window. The waitress took our drink order and told us it might be a while because something had happened with the bartender. Some... More

This place was recommended by our air b&b host, and it didn't disappoint. Amazing food (we went twice during our two week holiday) service was brilliant (despite the bar being really busy) and the price is good. The brisket sandwich is particularly good, and if you go on a Thursday the amazing chicken wings are 39c each! Huge range of... More

I discovered the fabulous bennies at the Two Parrots purely by accident. The price is right also, just $13 including java. Street parking can be a challenge depending upon the time of the day and the day of the week.

Kind of classic diner feeling. It's a 7 minute walk from fancy shmancy Yaletown, and if you're looking for some comfort, not at all healthy food, this is it! Breakfast are good, and very reasonably priced, coffee is great, and the burgers are amazing. Worth checking out.

Very good service, food and drinks, there was no long time to wait for anything. The prices are very good for the amount and quality of the food and drinks. The cocktails were fantastic, the burgers very, very good. And don't get me started on the tasty waffle fries. :) Overall a very good recommendation for a evening eating out.... More

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
