Really pleased we were taken here before a visit to a hockey game. Great atmosphere with happy friendly knowledgable staff. The Rockefeller oysters were a joy and the seafood chowder truly lovely. Even the bill came as a pleasant surprise. Recommend booking in advance

This is a hold in the wall in Vancouver's Yaletown neighbourhood set in a convered warehouse space with a main floor (with a bar, tables and the food prep area) and a loft with more tables. The loft gives you the best view of the goings on. Eclectic crowd from hard-drinking oyster-slurpers to finely dressed Japanese tourists. Reasonable collection of... More

Everything we tried was really good, atmosphere was great, really great ambiance, very crowded though, but great service and really great food, not that expensive, so highly recommended.

Great seafood, fun atmosphere and excellent service made for a wonderful dinner. Seafood is fresh and pricing is reasonable. Definitely worth a visit. Excellent location in Yaletown area of Vancouver.

I didn't like mussels until I tried them at Rodney's. I've tried mussels at other places and they are not nearly as good. The oysters and the clams are also excellent here. If you want to go somewhere with a bunch of lighthearted, entertaining servers, this is the place for you. Not only do we get great food here, we... More

I dined here with my family and was not impressed with our Waiter at all he was so rude scoffing at me when I requested water before an alcoholic beverage he didn't put in our order until we had been sitting there for an hour and 20 minutes. He was very rude and ruined te whole experience for our table.... More

Rodney's Oyster House is restaurant with minimum fuss and minimum comfort. Table made of wood, simple chairs... But the oysters are excellent, the chowder superbe and the mussels delicious. The service was very friendly, and the bill light! Excellent ration Price/quality!

Parking is on a one way alley with most spots diagonal back in only. Raw oysters are served with number of different sauces from salty to spicy! The mussels have a flavorful buttery sauce that is great for dipping with the sourdough bread! We also had the oyster chowder which was also great! No complaints, staff was friendly!

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
