On our trip to Vancouver we were looking forward to trying many flavors of the diverse cuisines of the City. This restaurant had been recommended to us as authentic. As Lebanese we were excited. However, the food was disappointingly bland and quite expensive.

This tiny restaurant located in Yaletown offers best value for money! For $20 we shared mjadra plate and soup+juice of the day. Everything was very tasty. Can't remember that I had such a good vegetarian meal. Menue offers vegetarian food as well as chicken and lamb dishes. Also very friendly service. I would go there every week if I'd live... More

We read reviews of this place while visiting Vancouver, and all of them were glowing. Now we know why! There were so many things on the menu we wanted to try that we decided to order several appetizers instead of a full meal. I loved the lentil soup, scallops, and hummus. My husband loved the cauliflower and baba ghanouj. Our... More

Well worth a visit. The location in the waldorf hotel is also excellent. Nice selection of wines, great food in a upbeat relaxed atmosphere. Will be back!

I love Nuba. We frequent the 3rd and Main location, and just adore it. Food is out of this world, and the service is fantastic.

We found Nuba whilst we were in Vancouver through Happy Cow as we were looking for somewhere that could feed both vegan and Omni eaters. We weren't disappointed with Nuba. The food was delicious and plentiful - whatever magic they perform on the cauliflower is amazing! We really enjoyed everything we ordered and returned two nights later for a second... More

Le Grande Feast was what my husband and I ordered to share and it was the perfect amount. This feast came with hummus, baba ghonooj, taboulleh salad, house fattoush salad, crispy cauliflower, roasted potatoes and 2 meats. We chose the prawns and the lamb. I've been reading about the cauliflower for the longest time and finally I had the chance... More

To be fair, I should admit up front that my impression may have been coloured by the fact that I went for lunch here with the loveliest woman in the world, whom I hadn't spent time with in years, so the restaurant would have had to have been atrocious for me not to have had a good time. That said...I... More

Enjoyed the food, wine, service and atmosphere here. My friend and I shared a plate for 2 that was very economical, and satisfying. I would eat here again, for sure!

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
