A friend turned me on to this cool spot - and just read that they now have Jazz on Fri nights - perfect way to spend an evening, or afternoon... whatever works. I've eaten lunch in the restaurant, and pies across the street, diagonally - all extremely delicious. Salads have some of the best, most complimentary dressings ever. Pie, well... More

If you like pies, this is a must visit when you're visiting Vancouver . Can't go wrong with any of their pies. All made with love.

I decided to try 3 things to take home, one was a turkey pie which had maybe 2 little pieces of turkey, and a very large crust, and a few vegetables. Not very hardy meal unless you like a lot of pie crust. The second was a quiche, again sadly lacking in all but the thick crust. Third a piece... More

We stopped here for a late afternoon lunch. Nice staff but service was slower. Atmosphere was a mix of a Greek temple with odd paper mache figurines hanging from the ceiling? Great physical location with people watching. We weren't looking for a large meal so my husband and I split a pizza. If you want organic choices this would be... More

This is a great old building with lots of character. We had some great coffee. The pies look and smell fantastic. The price for a whole pie is from $28-$60. Coffee from $2.75-$5.75

Very good food and lovely staff. A bit pricey for what it is, but there is no denying of the quality and variety of the offer. Would definitely recommend the leak and lentil soup if you go there - super tasty.

I used to go to The Naam, this time I wanted to try something new. The service was friendly, nice seating outside, good people-watching opportunity. The food was okay but nothing special.

First time here for breakfast/brunch. Service was very good, our waiter was attentive, coffee never empty. I had the aphrodite breakfast which was good, I chose the bacon which was nice but it did come with a very good salad. Toast was good as was the jam to go with it. My friend had the farmhand frittata which he indicated... More

Long waits, slow service but very nice staff and great food. Here's the thing, if you don't mndvwaiting and are determined to indulge in high end organic cuisine...this place is great! Their options are huge as are their prices and to that I say..."why not reduce the portion sizes and prices?" Almost every table had a quarter of their good... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
