We stopped here for lunch and we're so happy we did. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was awesome. It reminded us of a place we frequent back in Nanaimo. Cozy and Inviting. A little Mexico right in town. Yum!

We had a dinner here with the family and all were impressed. The service was amazing, as we arrived early for our reservation (travelling with a baby) and were greeted warmly and were seated in an area that was perfect for the baby. The manager picked up the slack and helped serve us until the waiter could catch up. The... More

I'll be honest, this restaurant threw me. It was packed with locals so Usually that's a pretty good sign that it's going to be good. But wow, it was just ok. The "nachos" were gross. They were literally just a pile of chips around a runny scoop of beans. There wasn't even any cheese on them. The burritos and enchiladas... More

It is such a pity about this restaurant. Excellent food and yet extremely poor service. The food was wonderful. Great mole sauce on the wings and superb quesadillas. Service however ruined the dining experience. I was seated and not asked if I wanted something to drink. After 15 minutes i was ready to leave when my server deigned to see... More

I really enjoyed La Casita -- so much so I went twice in one week. The burritos and tacos are very good. I ordered a side dish of guacamole and the portion was generous. The staff are pleasant and fast. Cool little spot in Gastown.

My brother-in law recommended this place. My wife and brother in law ordered the Chimichanga's. Everyone loved them. I has the special of the day which I can't remember but, I remember I loved it. The Margarita's were awesome. Home made chips and salsa's were excellent. I would definitely go back.

I have eaten here once before and it was decent, so I decided to pop back here with a group of friends for dinner. I genuinely could have been in a different restaurant due to how different the experience was. Firstly, our server was a bit off with the group. When ordering, he repeated my order back to me incorrectly... More

The food was great, very helpful and friendly staff when trying to decide which items to order. I enjoyed the food, can be a little spicy. A Mexican atmosphere that was relaxing.

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
