We were pleasantly surprised when we first found this place. Now it is our go-to Chinese restaurant on the west side. Have never been disappointed. It's a cheery place with good service and great food.

My wife and I usually have the great lunch here. With soup, tea and a huge main course, it is an absoute bargain. Thev service s blindingly fast and pleasant and the food arrives swiftly and piping hot. Last night I had dinner with a couple of friends. They each had a different dinner for one while I had chicken... More
Most times I call for delivery I get the run around on my location which is 3.5 miles and far inside the 5 km radius. This evening I was advised the driver could not go that far. This is the last straw for me...I won’t be calling back.
We had dinner at Connie’s Cook House on a recent visit with our son in Vancouver. The food was very good and the price hard to beat for what you get. Connie’s Cook House is located on West 4th Avenue between Yew and Arbutus. The restaurant is strictly for informal eating and won't win any awards for architecture and design,... More
I was in the neighborhood at the North Face Store when I spied Connie's across the street. Given that it was close to lunch time I wandered over to satisfy my hunger pangs. I found beef chow fun (beef with rice noodles) for $8.25, what a deal and the dish was very authentic also. Yes, of course I'll return again.
This restaurant seems to have found its niche, large portions of decent quality food which was very fresh and hot. Any restaurant that has egg Foo yeung and lemon chicken on the menu is OK with me. Do not expect gourmet Chinese food here but solid food catering to the local demographic. We ordered the dinner for 2, chicken with... More
Connie's is a pretty small place, when we walked in we were the only people in there. There was that moment of "Uh Oh, this place can't be that good". It was so great to find out how wrong we were. Firstly, the portions of food were just nutty. Each dish easily could serve three people - we had leftovers... More
Since I was in the neighborhood and hungry I stopped in at Connie's cook house. This place has been an institution on 4th avenue for number of years. The decor is cheery with red and yellow walls with green trim. The place was not too busy. I was served almost immediately. I opted for spring rolls which were crispy and... More
The atmosphere in Connie's is always a welcome break from the day. They play really mellow music and the people are always very friendly. The lunch special is around $6.50 and comes with soup and one choice of main. It is cheap and tasty...which leads to a bit of a rush. I try to go a little bit before in... More
I only live 2 blocks away but the delivery service is so fast I usually dont bother leaving the house. One time the guy was knocking at the door before I had even hung up the phone! Considering the proliferation of very average Asian restaurants in this part of Vancouver, I am surprised to see people criticizing the food -... More
