Lovely Parisien style bistrot in the heart of the West 4th Strip of restaurants/shops. Staff are French sounding/speaking and have their own quirks, but in a good way. Lunchtime meals are fast and well prepared. Pricing in the $15-22 range. Pomme Frites (French Fries!) are...More

Au Comptoir is a little french restaurant with good food but the customer service wasn't exactly friendly or good. We had brunch on Sunday September 2nd, 2018 and I ordered: BREAKFAST AU COMPTOIR oeuf cocotte, house-made sausage or bacon, country bread, potato rösti 14 When...More

No reservations, so we went shortly after opening. Small tables, crowded and noisy. Just like Paris. Service was fast and friendly. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. Would definitely go back.

We had the tenderloin as the special, ratatouille, and the rib eye. All was cooked and presented beautifully, excellent quality and service! We had the chocolate fondant and lemon tarte for dessert...incredibly delicious!

Fantastic dining experience. The charcuterie included 2 house made pâtés. Main courses were an outstanding offering - seared Tuna and the steak. This is a rustic environment but great, unique and very tasty food, with really friendly service.

Went for lunch close to 1 p.m. and it was packed - as it was a weekday, the room cleared by 1:30. The staff is excellent, friendly, informative, welcoming. The room is nice - nothing fancy but with the big windows and long counter it...More

Picked this restaurant on the recommendation of an online magazine. We were not disappointed. The food was very tasty, the service attentive. A bit loud and cramped, but a fun place for a meal with friends.

buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving
their mark on the number of organic restaurants and
fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of
Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic
