I think the kids like this place because they hope to get their menu art onto the wall. Quirky and small with good, simple Mexican food. I like the coffee and there is also nice beer. Not too fancy and good. hot and healthy fare....More

When it opened, the big rage were twofold: the food's fine flavours and hippyesque presentation, and the menu colouring. Yes, guests were to colour their menu front covers (crayons supplied), and to this day some of the best are still on display all over the...More

My yearly visit to Vancouver just wouldn't be complete without a visit to this Kitsilano institution, so off we went and the portions were huge this year. I ordered the chicken quesadilla meal which came with a huge portion of rice and beans, so unless...More

From the day it opened we have frequented Topanga - once the only bastion of any sort of Mexican food in Vancouver. We no longer live within walking distance but had friends visiting from Calgary who have many fond memories of great meals at Topanga...More

My husband and I used to come here often when we were dating 35 years ago. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. The service was great. Excellent chips and salsa. It looks like the place has not had a lick of work done to it...More

People must like this restaurant as when we walk by it's often crowded. Large portions and an appealing menu. But it's just not good food. The flavors and textures all blend together, just as all the items come crowded together on a very hot plate,...More

This is our go to Mexican restaurant in the city; including my in-laws favourite place since they started coming in the 70s. Everything from their margaritas, to entrees, to homemade chocolate cake is delicious! Portions are huge and very tasty. Don't let the tiny dining...More

Yes, there were people picking up their food to go while we ate there. It's a small place and hard to get a table Fri/Sat nights, so it looked like the locals were picking up instead of waiting.
