AMAZING Salsa with you chips to start. Meals were very good, not to big but not to small. Perfect sized. And the chocolate cake is most definetly worth saving space for. Not very Mexican, but really who cares it's that good.

I've eaten so much Mexican food over the years, especially over the last 16 years while living in California. So I'm not sure if it's just my personal preferences that reflect my feelings about this restaurant, or if in fact, it just wasn't quite up to par? In all fairness, I will eat here again just in case it was... More

Simple food.Great salsa and chips. Portions large enough to share 2 meals with 2 adults/2 kids. Nice ambiance. Full of locals. You know it's good. Been there for years.

This small spot cranks out amazing guacamole, enchiladas, tacos and burritos. A gem. Food is consistently good and the staff are very friendly. Can be crazy busy as is very popular. Small place so not good for big groups .

My son and I and a friend went for a meal for old times sake, we used to go there when my son was 8 or 9, now he's 32, so this place has been around for awhile. It still looks the same, wooden tables, child-coloured menus decorating the walls and tables, the same great food. However they've increased their... More

I visited Topanga with my husband and children. Despite appearing like a family type place it isn't. There was no children's menu and the waitress seemed lost on how to accommodate children. All in all the good was good.

Our nachos were amazing! The chicken enchilada with jalapeño was a bit too spicy, next time I won't get the jalapeño. The "wet" burritos were the best!!!!

We came for dinner mid-week on our way to somewhere else so we had about 50 minutes We asked the waiter whether this was a doable time frame and he said he could make it happen. He aided us by giving us the bill shortly after we ordered so that I could prepay. My Sangria was tiny so when I... More

Hot, filling, satisfying, great flavours, casual & comfortable atmosphere - Topanga never fails to please. My husband always has a burrito and I favour tostadas but have worked my way through most of the long standing favourites on the menu. We no longer have the apetite to handle their huge entreé meals that come with rice and beans (with melted... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
