Mild full-flavored brew that adds to the day, whether lunchtime or evening. Also Haddock & Chips a nice surprise for an English visitor!

Was in town for an overnighter and felt like listening to some live jazz. Found this place and they had a band that was playing a Christmas Jazz show. Friendly waiters, good wine. Didn't have anything to eat but they have standard pub fare.

The pub is not what it looks like from outside.. Great venue for live bands/show, the food was awesome.. staff super friendly and they brew their own beer.. which tastes awesome.. Must remember to get cans of it next time I go down

This used to be THE jazz club in Vancouver almost a hundred years ago. Now it's a big ol' place with blues bands and dancing and good beer and pub food. The area is pretty sleazy (right on the edge of Vancouver's skid row), but this place is better than it looks from the outside. They make their own beer.... More

A good afternoon stop for us.Happy hour until 7 pm. A good selection of eats and a discount offered if staying in the hotel. This pub is a micro brewery and serves some interesting and tasty beer. Music can be a bit loud at times.

Pat's Pub was the best thing about the Patricia Hotel on Hastings Street, a real find. The cool dark wood paneled hideaway was just the salve from the heat and crowds in Vancouver. I enjoyed my beer and fish and chips (8 oz filet) and some good company. Even, better the pub is actually where the "continental breakfast" is served... More

A nice pub which along with the usual large brewery beers serves a very nice home brew. You can see into the brewery from the pub. Serves very good pubgrub and often has entertainment on. On the downside is the area it is situated probably the worst area of Vancouver.

The food was just okay. My husband and friend had a Reuben sandwich which was dry. I had a burger and it would've been good if the waiter had asked me if I wanted mayonnaise , mustard and ketchup on it before he presented it to me. The chicken wings were very good.

We were lucky enough to just happen upon this bar while a great jazz band was playing. No cover charge to enjoy the music, really interesting manager , Tyler, who explained some of the more obscure dishes on the menu and tasty inexpensive food.

Wow. Been 2 yrs since last time I was here. The food today was as I always remember it to be. Had a great cheddar n bacon burger. Only good place along hastings 4 miles. The area is rather rough but the pub is still old style (no aircon) not like all the new hipster dives opening up along this... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
