If I could, I would give no rating, but it doesn't appear I can post without giving it a single rating. I've lived in the neighbourhood for 15 years and this used to be a good place for a quick slice. I had noticed a change in management a few years back and have only been a couple of times... More

One of Vancouver's original creative pizza shops, the Flying Wedge has become somewhat of an institution. The original location on Cornwall still presents a medium crust pizza with generous toppings. Some of their originals are still on the menu: Tropical Pig, Veggie Wedgie and The Greek as well as their Extreme Premiums: Retro Hot Licks, Broken Hearts and Szechuan Chicken.... More

Imaginative delicious pizza toppings. That will please discerning pizza fans and convert those who are fed up with all other brands of pizza. This is nothing like any other except of course the other Flying Wedge pizza shops in the lower mainland. Price is higher than elsewhere but this is full value and more for the cost. Highly recommend you... More

This is a very small restaurant with only a few tables so a lot of people order pizzas for take out or buy it by the slice to take out and eat as they walk around Kits. They always have several types of pizzas cooked and ready to go by the slice. The crust is medium thickness, not thin, and... More

The Flying Wedge on Cornwall has taken two steps backwards in their service and their product. They used to be a favourite...and we've eaten there for more than 20 years. But last month new owners took over and the service is now without a smile. The slices seemed to be about 75% of the size of a couple of years... More

I have rarely been impressed by chain pizzerias that deliver, but Flying Wedge was a completely pleasant surprise. Their flavour combinations on their higher end menu are perfectly balanced. Black figs on a spicy sausage pizza for example. Really well done, interesting menu, affordable, and they deliver. Highly recommend it. Enough so that I FINALLY made a tripadvisor account.

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
