This place is packed on a Saturday afternoon for good reason! We had an excellent lunch here today. The appetizers ( Spring rolls and Roti) were both excellent and the pork in Vinegar dish was exceptional. We live nearby and will be back!

As a former resident of both Malaysian and Singapore, I feel that I can finally provide a review with some Authority. I thought that the meal overall was excellent, and in my mind very authentic. The Roti Canai was excellent, and I consider myself an expert on this dish (largely because it's the best hangover cure in the world...as such... More

We ordered the 8 course sampler dinner at $25.00 per person (there were 6 of us) and it was excellent. The food seem to come just at the right time as we were finishing each dish and it was well presented. I liked that we were seated at a large round table which is always more comfortable for sharing and... More

Had the fixed eight course dinner menu. APPETIZERS Asian salad was underwhelming (limp iceberg lettuce? really?). Roti cannai had nice flavour but was a little oily. Lobnak was also a bit oily though had a nice crunch. MAINS Mango chili tiger prawns - prawns were of a decent size but the dish was too sweet. Seriously, what's with the red... More

I went there with my partner and we were seated right away. The prices are mid range but the noise level can be loud. We had the Satay which was good and reasonably priced. The Fish platter was a good treat as it came with different types of fish. My friend had the salmon which was a bit pricey we... More

Just had lunch here yesterday and always enjoy their cuisine. The pork skewers and the roti are to die for especially with the absolutely superb peanut dipping sauce that comes with the skewers! My wife's boneless chicken curry was deemed fabulous and the rendang beef with roti that I had was good though the beef was a little dry due to... More

Disappointing, especially considering great reviews. Have lived in both East and West Malaysia so I'm spoiled for both good restaurant and home-cooked Malay food, and the food I ordered here didn't come (even a little bit) close to good food. The (light brown-yikes) Beef Rendang was a mess of tough, grisly meat in a runny, grainy type gravy, and what... More

Obscene amount of food and it just $25. Everything tasted great and they had lots of great beer options on tap to enjoy with their wonderful food! Glad we stopped in!

Neighbourhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes.
