As expected, always got a line up for this pho restaurant. Despite its tiny shop layout, it's always packed. The food is great. We ordered two small bowls of beef pho and half an order of spring rolls with a cold Drip coffee and lemon tea. And the bill is around $31.xx Canadian. For hygiene wise, I found that the... More

Was in a bit of a rush as mom and I missed lunch at noon-ish. Wanted something quick and could not sit down for late lunch. Decided on banh-mi sammy and shrimp salad roll. Thought it was quick, can eat on the run, sorta but still would've preferred pho. Anyways, rolled into restaurant ~3:05pm. Pretty full and I bee-lined it... More

The pho quality was up there with any in city I have had though msg content bit high and I was drinking water for hours after. I also had a sub which was totally enjoyable mix of sweet and spicy. much better than subway fare by my reckless palate . Go early as line up starts by 1145.

Don't let the location and small size (the name says it all) put you off - this place is a gem. Once in, and it is no small feat at peak mealtimes, you are kind of jammed in cheek-by-jowl but just pretend you are in Europe and tuck in your elbows and enjoy the treat. The food is without qualification... More

Just hop in for a coffee break. This little cafe impressed us with the very friendly services of the host who, for instance, cared to ask about the quality and sweetness and of the French coffee we ordered. We were, of course, happy with the smooth and tasty coffee. We also ordered beef noodle which was delicious too. Enjoyed our... More

Neighbourhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
